Ptarmigan Cottage is situated in the Cairngorm National Park , a mile from Boat of Garten, 5 from Aviemore in the center of the Highlands. The house is entirely yours, looked after by my caretaker who is on hand to help and will advise where to pick up the keys. It has a secure garden, decking and barbeque area. Boat of Garten is a mile away and has a golf club, shops , restaurants and cafees as well as the steam trains on the Strathspey railway.The RSPB Osprey center at Loch Garten is 5 miles away and the Cairngorm Mountain Resort and ski center 10 miles away.Aviemore is 5 miles distance There are many good walks in the area The Speyside Way passes through. For cyclists also there are good trails both for mountain bikers through the forrests as quiet roads for road cyclists. Aviemore has direct rail links to London including the sleeper, Glasgow , Edinburgh and Inverness as well as bus routes.Inverness Airport is 20 miles away and Inverness 25 (Website hidden by Airbnb) is the start of the NC 500 as well as the starting points of roads to the Far North and west to Skye
