The Shack - a rustic, rural retreat

The Shack is an owner-built, self-contained rural retreat – rustic and homely. Situated on private property on the Wimmera River, only 5 minutes from Horsham, this 2-bedroomed cottage offers panoramic views of farm paddocks, dams, gum trees and the Grampians. You will have The Shack to yourselves which includes a huge, fenced yard and panoramic views of our farm. Pets are very welcome and are allowed inside, but please, not in the bedrooms or on the furniture. You are encouraged to walk across our suspension bridge and around our river walking track which will bring you back to The Shack. It's 3.5 kms so takes about 35 minutes to walk. The river is our boundary so it's impossible to get lost or walk off our land. Please leave all gates as you find them as we may have our farm animals and some stock on the farm - they will be safe to walk through. We live at a dead end road which is freely used by children, dogs, cats, horses, sheep, pigs, peacocks and guinea fowl - so please drive slowly and carefully when approaching our driveway.
