Barn House

This typical stone house on the right side, was the original part of an old barn where once the straw was kept. Turned into a charming house, the terrace receives the sun in the early morning and allows you to take the breakfast with a relaxing view to the woods and garden. The back terrace with a table and chairs gives you the chance to enjoy your meals on the summer nights. In a space where you can experience the day-to-day life of the farm, children have the opportunity to interact with the farm animals or help in the biological garden. In addition there is a Common Room with library and video library, a Bar and Terrace in the inner courtyard, a Biological Pool and Playground and a Lounge area to relax. Spend your time inside the farm where all the paths take you to discover places of magic. Enjoy the peaceful of the Lounge, take a glass of wine near the pool or at the esplanade, enjoy the company of the animals farm and watch the sunset from your terrace. With a lot of hidden spots to birdwatching, the pond is also a important spot to watch a different type of animals. This farm with environmental concerns, has available Ecopoints and the possibility of collecting waste for composting. All the farm is avaiable to enjoy by our guests I'm always at the farm, taking care of the space. So, i'm always there for anything that's necessary from our guests. We have some paths, arround the village, that we make with our guests using our classic car 2CV, visiting old monuments or making part of the romance of the portuguese writer Camilo Casatelo Branco. By car, bycicle or by foot you can explore the surroundings and get to know the legend of the ancient tower of the village, take a ride with a guide on a classic car through the Camilo Castelo Branco literary’s route (a famous Portuguese writer) or simply enjoy a walk along the forests. Spend your time inside the farm where all the paths take you to discover places of magic. It’s an 1h drive from Aveiro, Coimbra and Covilhã, 3h drive from Lisbon and 1.30h from Porto. Can be reached by the motorways A25 and A24 and IP3 road, as well as the railway stations at Mangualde, Nelas and Gandufe. On the Dão Demarcated Region, surrounded by vineyards and mountains, explore the wineries and taste the Dão wines. Relax in a Thermal Spa by the river or discover Viseu nearby, with a beautiful historic zone. Take time out to stroll through our historical villages or explore everything Serra da Estrela’s Natural Park has to offer.
