Cathedral Gardens

Cathedral Gardens is located at the foot of the Cathedral Range, near the small township of Taggerty. The award winning 4 acre garden which surrounds the house has water features, a large orchard, vegetable garden and many beautiful exotic and native plants. We are only 5 minutes from the Cathedral State Park, which has many bush walks, ranging from easy to difficult. Pet friendly on application - please state breed and number when enquiring. Guest will love being able to wander around the garden and enjoy the peace and tranquillity. Free WiFi is available. There is a spacious lounge area with TV, DVDs, stereo and board games. There are three bedrooms - one double, one twin and one with a bunk bed. This is not a full kitchen, but a kitchenette. It is well equipped with a toaster, microwave, electric jug, coffee machine, toaster oven and a bar fridge. All crockery, cutlery, towels and linen are provided. There is a small sink with hot and cold water. As it is not big enough for washing dishes I will collect them and put them in my dishwasher. There is unlimited access to the patio and the BBQ. The BBQ has wok burner for use when cooking pasta etc. Guest are welcome everywhere except our private rooms I am available for contact by email, text or phone and am happy to interact with guests as they desire. I have assembled a folder of places of interest in the surrounding area. We are close to the Cathedral State Park with its many walking trails ranging from easy to very difficult. Marysville is 20 minutes away as is Eildon, with the Pondage and the dam for fishing and boating. Alexandra is the main town in the area and it has plenty of cafes and hotels from which to choose a meal or a coffee. I recommend phoning to make a booking for evening meals. Access is most convenient by car. The carport can accommodate all vehicles except very high 4WDs. Guests can enjoy a light breakfast with a choice of different cereals, milk, fruit and toast with butter, homemade jam and marmalade. Tea, coffee, drinking chocolate and herbal teas are available. Gluten free options are available on request. Every bed has an electric blanket for those cold nights and fans are available for cooling on hot days. Heating is with a wood fire.
