Recently we have fully renovated the bathroom and newly painted inside. It truly is country living here, without being too far from town, wineries and National Parks. There is an abundance of birds, wildlife and a sky full of stars. Summer is apple and grape harvest time. Autumn the leaves tumble from the trees in true autumn colours. Winter is a time to rug up, open your front door and take a leisurely walk in the clean, crisp morning air, listening to the call of the multitude of bird life as well as taking in the water views of Storm King Dam. Bring your camera and binoculars and count how many different species of water foul/birds you can see. Kangaroos and wallabies may be nibbling the grass in front of your cottage. Storm King dam is full, bring your own kayak or hire one from nearby Sommerville Caravan Park which can also supply fishing permits if you wish to try your luck fishing from the dam. Visit some of the areas award wining wineries..plus there are two breweries for the beer drinker. Taste some of our fresh, local produce in the many cafes and restaurants or visit Jersey Girls cheese factory, indulge in Suttons famous apple pie, juices and ciders. Visit Girraween National Park or just over the border is Bald Rock National Park, enjoy some challenging or not so challenging walks and take in the breathtaking scenery. The Granite Belt has so much to offer....see you soon. To avoid disappointment, our property is not suitable for babies, children or pets, so please don't ask. We don't have public transport outside our door, but it is an easy and picturesque drive into Stanthorpe itself, as well as to the many award wining cellar doors and attractions unique to our area. Enquire with individual tour operators as to pickup from cottage. Property is NOT suitable for children, we will not make exceptions, sorry, so please don't ask. As much as we love animals,we cannot accommodate yours. There are 3 unfenced dams on our property and one huge dam across the road. If you use another provider other than telstra you may have limited phone reception.
