Delightful airy annexe with gorgeous views of Penpol Creek. Public water access 75m from flat; perfect opportunity for walkers to explore the foreshore and network of footpaths in this historic area, or keen kayakers/ SUP paddlers to traverse the stunning waters beyond to the Carrick Roads. Ideal for business & pleasure, conveniently located between Truro & Falmouth. Easy access to north & south coast beaches and attractions. Close proximity to National Trust Trelissick Gardens. The annexe is a self contained unit attached to our home. Guests have own private parking outside flat. Fantastic space to use as a base for your Cornish experience with fully equipped kitchen and living area. I provide basic provisions for breakfast for a couple of days, tea, coffee, milk and additional ingredient for cooking including oil, salt, pepper etc. The living area has a double sofa bed and I can provide a travel cot and high chair if required for accompanying babies. An outside decked area offers a tranquil setting overlooking the water and across to the historic village of Point and the farmland and woods of Angarrick and Carclew beyond. Perfect for a morning coffee or glass of wine at the end of the day. Public access to the foreshore opposite the boatyard, 75m from The Annexe, enables easy launching of boats or SUPs if you have them. The launch area is tidal, Penpol creek opens up on to Restronguet and the Carrick Roads estuary and is well worth exploring. On a high tide, we often paddle across to the picturesque Pandora Inn (TR11 5ST) in Mylor (a 20 min journey by water depending on hunger levels!) perched on the waters edge for lunch or dinner. Other nearby friendly pubs are The Old Quay Inn, Devoran, 1.9 miles away, 10 mins by car or a beautiful 40 min walk along the Old Tram road and the Punch Bowl & Ladle, Penelewy, 1.6 miles away, 7 mins by car or 40 minutes walking. I am happy to offer advice and recommendations as much as you require. My involvement in your stay is entirely up to you. We have a busy family life, but I am always readily on hand to assist if you would like it. Feock and the surrounding villages of Point, Penpol and Devoran are steeped in local history, like many parts of Cornwall and you can find plenty of historical landmarks relating to it's mining heritage as you explore the area. The Annexe is located on Penpol Creek, a tributary of the Carrick Roads a glorious leafy landscape that is home to abundant bird life and the occasional seal. The foreshore in front of neighbouring Penpol boatyard enables easy public access on foot to link up to footpaths or to launch a boat/SUP. We are in close proximity to the National Trust owned Trelissick Gardens (2.5 miles), which also offers access to the foot ferry to St Mawes & Falmouth. The King Harry Ferry (2.5 miles) allows vehicle crossing of the river for easy exploring of the Roseland Peninsular. If you are feeling more active Loe Beach Watersports Centre (1.9 miles) provides hire of kayaks, SUPs and dinghies. Feock is well placed just off the A39 enabling easy links to Falmouth, with it's plethora of waterside restaurants and characterful bars, to the city of Truro or to the trunk roads leading to North, West and East Cornwall. There are numerous footpaths through the surrounding villages of Feock, Point, Penpol, Devoran etc. I have maps available to guests if you would like to borrow them. The King Harry Ferry provides car access to the Roseland Peninsular. Passenger ferry's run from Trelissick to St Mawes and Falmouth offering fabulous views of the coastline accompanied by historical facts and local knowledge from the captain. Public buses in Feock run every 2 hours, the closest bus stop is a 15 mins walk. Car is probably the easiest means of transportation.
