Stay in a safari tent in the lush Limousin countryside with Limousin Farm Holidays. Experience life on a working farm: feed lambs, collect the eggs. Laze by the pool. Stroll or cycle through beautiful landscape and quaint villages. Enjoy an al fresco dinner of fresh farm produce. Imagine the freedom of a farm holiday in the idyllic Limousin countryside. Where you can camp out in comfort under the stars in a safari tent or yurt. Where your children can play in the woods and fields, help round up the animals or watch a lamb or calf being born. Where you can swim, walk or cycle by day, and relax around the campfire savouring delicious French food and wine by night. Welcome to La Tuilerie, your dream holiday down on the farm. This safari tent can sleep up to six people. There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two bunks, a large family room with a day bed and trundle bed, to provide seating and an additional two single beds. All bedding and duvets are supplied. We can guarantee you'll feel warm and comfortable, even on those rare chilly nights. Don't forget, we provide all your wood as part of the cost of your farm holiday so you can sit around the campfire every night, star gaze and revel in the joy of being in the outdoors. Wake up to the sounds of the countryside and a delicious continental breakfast. We provide complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate, fresh baguettes and a selection of home-made jams. If you wish, we can order fresh croissants, pain au chocolat and other pastries from our local artisan bakery. All you've got to do is ask. Each safari tent has its own private shower room and toilet which you can find in our quaint old farmhouse, a stone's throw from your tent. If you want to cook a bigger meal or escape the midday sun, the farmhouse boasts two, shared, fully equipped kitchens, a dining room and relaxing sofas in our kids playroom. You can wash and dry your clothes here, store food in one of our large, shared fridges and lock away personal items. We also provide ice-boxes if you want to keep chilled food and drinks in your tent. The days are long and hot during the summer months so if you want to stay cool make sure you pack your swimming costume. Our brand new heated nine metre pool gives you a great excuse to lie back and relax on a sun lounger in the shade of a parasol while the kids have fun splashing around. What better way to enjoy the perfect lazy summer day? The beauty of Limousin Farm Holidays is that you can enjoy getting close to the animals and learning from Hugh and Michael about good farming practice and animal welfare. The wonder of seeing a lamb or calf born is something that we believe everyone should experience, young and old. And if you want to help us out, there's always something practical to do. Our young visitors love feeding the chickens and collecting their eggs. And there are plenty of strawberries and other succulent fruit and vegetables to pick in season too. Visit us at Limousin Farm Holidays and you'll find plenty to do outside of the farm in the local area. From walking to cycling, wildlife to watersports, there's plenty to keep you and your family entertained all day long. If you love spending your holidays seeking out the local wildlife, our region is a gem. Heavily wooded, there's an extensive network of rivers and lakes to explore where you'll find a range of fascinating flora and fauna. Around the farm, if you're lucky, you'll be able to see wild boar, badgers, foxes, roe deer, beech martins and red squirrels. This area is also a birdwatchers paradise. We regularly see, red kites, owls, buzzards, osprey, woodpeckers, hoopoes and kingfishers. Make sure you bring your binoculars and visit our wetlands. Explore by bike or foot There are many kilometres of tracks, in the woods and between local hamlets. We can provide you with maps and route suggestions, and if you don't have bikes, no problem, you can hire them from us. Stunning lakes The nearest lake with a beach is in La Souterraine. It's clean and safe for swimming and has a playpark and restaurant. If you're a fan of watersports, many lakes and some rivers have canoeing, kayaking, sailing, and waterskiing.
