Bagley Cottage - a truly rural retreat

Located at the end of a mile long farm track, set back in the peaceful countryside of Shropshire. This tranquil annex offers comfortable sleeping with views across the fields to the forest. Parking right outside front door. Excellent access to local footpaths. Close to the town of Much Wenlock and Bridgnorth. There are a few friendly farm animals on site and a sociable spaniel. Host is also a remedial massage therapist and has her therapy room onsite. Perfect place to switch off and relax. Tucked away in the countryside on a plot of 5 acres which is made up of garden and fields. The garden is shared with the main house but is large. It’s close to footpaths. 5 mile drive to amenities in Much Wenlock and Bridgnorth. The annex consists of a bed and lounge area with a TV and good selection of DVDs. The king size bed has a high quality firm mattress made by sleep experts Somnus, with duck and goose feather/down pillows and duvet. The adjacent shower room has a large shower with good water pressure and underfloor heating. The kitchen is up a steep set of 4 steps and is equipped with basic appliances including a microwave oven, induction hobs, a slow cooker and a small George Foreman Grill. Access is from the A458, 1 mile north or Morville, up a 1.5 mile track. Parking is right outside the door. Always available to guests via phone/email. We both live on site, but we do work so sometimes only around in the evening. The house is a very rural location with no road noise and only a couple of neighbours. There is lots of local wildlife, some farm animals and a resident deer in our neighbour’s field. We often see owls, woodpeckers and buzzards. There are plenty of pheasants too. Car is the best way to get around as we are remote. Dogs are welcome but required to be kept on a lead when outside due to free range chickens. The access track can vary in condition seasonally and cars with lowered suspension or sports cars can bottom out in places. PLEASE NOTE: Only access is from the A458 and following some satnavs can result in a 20 minute detour. Detailed directions are sent prior to arrival.
