Great Location! Traditional Tenement Apartment on the ground floor. Fabulous reviews. 2 Cockapoo dogs, who are hypoallergenic and dont shed hair. 5 min walk from the heart of the most desired neighbourhood in Glasgow - Byres Road [ bars, cafe's, culture]. 20min by bus or underground into city centre. Modern / Traditional features indoors. Double bed with goose down duvet. Hot shower. Superfast Wifi. Whisky tasting! Open fireplace. Free parking. Piano. Sunny and you can sit in the garden Just a few minutes walk from everywhere you'd want to go in the West End - bars and restaurants in Ashton Lane, Botanic Gardens [ which is a great place for running], Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, SECC [ 40 min walk or you can hire a local bike],Charles Rennie Macintosh House at the Hunterian Gallery,Glasgow University, Hillhead Underground station... And convenient for the city centre [half hour walk or a few stops on the underground] or getting out of town and exploring the rest of Scotland. Edinburgh Festival is an easy commute by car [40min] or by train [40 min]. The West End is one of Glasgow's most desired and hip neighbourhoods with a great range of smart bars coffee shops and restaurants including Scottish, Thai, Japaneese, Indian, Italian, Vietnamese and Spanish cuisines. I will welcome guests on arrival and will be happy to familiarise guests with travel and local information. There is also a selection of Liqueurs and Whiskies on offer for tasting!! Your bedroom is a bright, quiet room with the luxury of a goose down duvet, white fresh bedlinen and white towels. Wardrobe hanging space and set of drawers. A television with all the freeview digital channels. Hairdryer and Straighteners. There's free on-street parking right outside the house. Unlimited high-speed wireless internet and printer access. Plenty of power points for laptops or chargers. While my guests are staying in my home I invite them to use all the facilities as if it were their own. Use of lovely big family kitchen for cooking, tea, coffee and chatting. The kitchen also has access onto a balcony with bbq and looks over a luscious green garden. Laundry and drying facilities available. The shared bathroom has a powerful stand alone shower and a traditional roll top bath. Hot water is available 24hrs a day so you could have a bath any time of the day. All towels are included. The living room has traditional features with two very comfortable settees. There is also a gorgeous boudoir piano in the bay window. A coal/wood open fire centres the room along with freeview/digital television. There is also a selection of various DVD's for rainy days. The neighbourhood is the heart of the cultural and bohemian West End, and the local residents are friendly, obliging and always happy to help visitors to the area if they ask for assistance. A green, leafy area that is bubbling with coffee shops, bars and restaurants. AND! they are all within walking distance from the apartment. The apartment is within walking distance of many of the city's attractions. The Underground is a 10 minute walk away and will take you to Queens Street/ Central Train Station and Buchanan Street Bus Station. Prices are £1.60/Single/£3.00 return/£4 day return. Here you can access routes to Loch Lomond in 30 min, Edinburgh and all other parts of Scotland. The M8 Motorway is also very close and can take you to Glasgow Airport in 20 min. Taxi from Glasgow Airport is £15 and travelling to the airport is £13.50 [ Network Taxis (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) ]. The apartment has a bus stop at the bottom of the road that will take you straight into the city centre at a cost of £1.90/ single. There are also local bikes for rent and the nearest pick up is 3 min away at a cost of £1 /30min or £10 for 24hrs]. My home is very relaxed and in the summer on a good day or evening you can sit out in the front garden with a coffee or glass of wine. There is a beautiful boudoir piano in the bay window and all guests are welcome to play it.
