Charming, Grade II listed Cornish cottage
This stone and cob-built cottage offers comfortable, modern accommodation for up to four people in a listed building of great charm and with a unique history dating back many centuries. Lovingly restored by owners Sara and Simon it sits on the edge of a traditional Cornish village set in rolling hills and farmland, providing a quiet, rural stay but facilitating an easy exploration of all that the West Country has to offer. Within walking distance of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. High ceilings and generous, South-facing windows give a light and airy feel. Double bedroom with twin windows giving views of the garden. Second bedroom with the option of twin beds or a super-kingsize. Spacious living room with comfy sofas, dining table and chairs and fully equipped kitchen. Washing machine, dishwasher, gas hob, electric oven, fridge (with ice box), microwave oven, etc. Bathroom with bath and shower, toilet and wash basin. Private, sunny garden with picnic table. Access to grassed play area for small children, with slide, swing and climbing frame. Rotary clothes driers (shared). Help-yourself herb garden. Situated in Cornwall but close to Devon, the location is ideal for exploring both counties. Walk down ancient lanes from the door. 3 minute walk to a pub, general store and Post Office. Convenient for A38 to Plymouth (shops, cinemas, National Aquarium etc.) and further into Cornwall. Regular bus service through the village. Dedicated off-street parking space right opposite the cottage. Use of freezer and tumble drier on request. There are two bee hives in a fenced-off area of the hosts' garden, 50 metres from the cottage. We do not accommodate pets. 3 granite steps up to the front door. Because of the thickness of the old stone walls, the WiFi is not 100% reliable.
