Shurig Cottage, with family games room access

Stylish Shurig Cottage happily sleeps up to 6 people. Patio doors open directly from the living room onto the main garden for a relaxed holiday feel. You will also have access to our large games room with pool table, table tennis and table football, perfect for families on those not-so-sunny days! We also have approximately 2 acres of private woodland for you enjoy bird and red squirrel spotting at all times of year. Our other cottages are Rosa Cottage and Ashdale Cottage. Shurig cottage has 1 master bedroom with king size bed and two twin bedrooms. There is a family bathroom upstairs with a bath and shower and an additional toilet/shower room downstairs. The cottage is decorated and equipped to a very high standard with everything we could think of to make self catering as easy as possible! We can also supply a cot and high chair if you need it. The cottage also has access to our separate laundry and drying room and there is undercover storage for bikes, roof boxes and golfing equipment if required. Guests have access to the whole cottage. Our large garden, woodlands, games room, laundry and off-road parking are shared by our 3 cottages at Hamilton Cottages (Rosa Cottage, Shurig Cottage and Ashdale Cottage). The garden in summer is a delight for bird watchers due to the variety of birds that are in the area however it is the red squirrels that seem to be the favourite with our guests. We also have bee hives and chickens! We live in next door in Shepherds Cottage and will be there to welcome you and available to assist with information etc, should you need it. We are located at Shedog on the edge of Shiskine village on the west side of Arran, 'West is Best' as those in the know say! Hamilton Cottages are ideally situated for the most popular family walks on Arran including Kings Caves and Machrie Moor standing stones and are also situated at a convenient spot between Arran's two whisky distilleries. Just a 15 minute drive will take you to the main port and amenities of Brodick and Blackwaterfoot with its local shops including a butcher, baker, pub, restaurant and beautiful sandy beach is only 5 minutes drive. Shiskine Golf Course and clubhouse is also at Blackwaterfoot where you can enjoy playing this unique course or enjoy a meal watching the spectacular sunsets over Kilbrannan Sound and the Kintyre peninsula. The cottage has uninterrupted views over the fields to the Arran hills beyond. Hamilton Cottages are located directly on a bus route which crosses the island so whether by car or by bus we are well placed to explore both sides of the island. We have private parking on site.
