The Nest is a cosy, airy newly refurbished self-contained eco-studio apartment in a peaceful, rural setting. Own separate entrance and self check-in. Wood-burning stove and en-suite shower room. There is a unique craftsman-built sleeping platform with double bed, extra sofa bed on ground floor. Free parking.Lovely views of the gentle rolling Herefordshire countryside. The Nest is the perfect place to relax and unwind, set in the wonderful countryside of the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. On a country lane surrounded by an organic garden and open farmland. Plenty of parking . Wood burning stove with first basket of logs provided and more seasoned wood available to purchase. Additional electric heating with timer, so no cold mornings and cosy to come back to. All power is renewable energy. Well lit path to entrance. Complimentary organic milk(when available or non-organic milk ), cereal, tea, coffee and biscuits are provided for your arrival to get you settled in. There is an open plan kitchen/sitting room with comfy sofa, armchair and table and chairs, the kitchen is fully equipped with oven, fridge, microwave etc. Lap-top friendly work space. There is an en-suite shower and toilet. Wooden stairs lead to the unique sleeping platform with double bed. A separate garden with seating, table, parasol and fire pit mean you can have relaxing meals or a glass of wine outdoors too. Dogs welcome, but please register when booking, and if you are not able to bring all your dog(s) needs, please notify me before arrival. There is more helpful information in the guide book, which you are asked to read on arrival. Wishing you a very happy and relaxing stay. The whole apartment is for your sole use. There is also a small garden for your use beside the Nest. You are welcome to use the shared heated laundry in a nearby outbuilding to hang wet clothes after a wet walk. For longer stays use of washing machine also available by arrangement for a fee. Host is resident on-site, and available when needed. having lived here for 15 years happy to give advice about local walks, places of interest in the area and places to eat, so just ask! There is also a friendly young dog living here. Please let me know if your dog is nervous and wary of meeting other dogs. Set mid way between Hereford, Ross-on-Wye, Ledbury and Monmouth, there is plenty to see and do in the beautiful area of outstanding natural beauty. The River Wye is at the end of the road for riverside walks and fishing. Canoe hire available nearby. The famous Herefordshire cider orchards are a ten minute walk away, Athelstan Woods a twenty minute walk, and Acornbury Woods a few minutes drive. There are several cosy pubs to walk to (waterproof footwear needed). The famous Laskett Gardens is a two minute walk (not usually open to the public). Symonds Yat, Goodrich Castle, Forest of Dean with it's cycle network, Sculpture Trail and Go Ape are all nearby . Also The Brecon Beacons or Offa's Dyke path or The Black Mountains or Hay-on-Wye make a great day out. 5 minute walk from the main bus route between Hereford and Ross-on-Wye. (bus number 33). 15 minute drive from Hereford and Ross-on-Wye, 20 minutes to Monmouth,30 minutes to Ledbury & Abergavenny. The double bed on the sleeping platform will be made up and bedding and towels & kitchen linen are included in the booking price. There is a comfortable full sized double sofa bed in the sitting room, bedding and bed linen for which is available at an additional cost. Please enquire. The Nest is listed for two guests. To add one or two extra guests by prior arrangement there is a charge of £20 per person per night. If you are going out in the evening please switch on the outside light (switch located inside The Nest by door). Please remember to switch off once you return. Check- in 3pm or later. Check- out 11 am.
