The tent is tucked away in a long stretch of historic Cotswold countryside, surrounded with rolling fields and honey-toned buildings. The surrounding area and the Chavenage estate grounds are historically important and so stunningly beautiful that films have been shot on the grounds since the 1960s. The charming country lanes and villages of the area are best seen by bicycle tour or dog walking, while our bell tents give the perfect safari feeling, where you can wake up to birdsong and the soft glow of morning light. With a private steaming outdoor cedar hot tub you can relax and enjoy the stunning views while each night you can fall asleep beneath the starry skies. Your secluded glamp site comes with a heated outdoor shower; hot tub; an onsite kitchen with two ring gas hob and fridge; dining area and private bathroom facilities. In addition to our regular robust cleaning services, we have a COVID appropriate hygiene and cleaning system, all linens are boil washed and high temperature ironed. In the kitchen, there is complimentary ground coffee, tea, sugar and milk along with a selection of condiments. There is an assortment of pans, utensils and glasses with everything you need for cooking and dining. The BBQ has it's own utensils, charcoal, firelighters and trays. The bathroom comes with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. There is also a torch, vanity mirror, electric hairdryer and phone charging facilities. With plenty of wood for the hot tub or toasting in front of the fire pit, you have everything you need for a quiet, relaxing stay. Park in the glamping field with a five minute walk to your tipi. Complimentary bikes are provided so you can pop down to the Cafe or Lounge Bar. Bikes are available for hire on site so you can explore the country lanes and local villages at your leisure or take a walk along the MacMillan way located at the edge of the glamping field. The market town of Tetbury is two miles away along a quiet country lane, perfect for cycling or walking to the numerous antique, craft and food shops. We are four stops and 70 minutes from London Paddington but a million miles from the city! We will provide local taxi service details or we can provide you with electric bicycles if you choose to join us by train, and after booking we will message you more detailed instructions and a map. The Glamping site is off-grid however our adjacent coffee stop is fully wi-fi connected, open 7 days a week and the perfect place to catch up with the outside world while enjoying a coffee, cake or glass of champagne. We can arrange a number of experiences or adventures as well as recommend places to eat, walk and cycle. The Glamping site is designed to be a private space away from daily life so we are as unobtrusive as possible but always on tap when you need us. The Wild Carrot Cafe is a 5 minute walk from the glamping site, open every day serving hot & cold drinks, lunch, smoothies, and cakes with plenty of outside seating. The Lounge Bar is open at the weekend. Located between Highgrove and Gatcombe, Chavenage is located on the MacMillan way and surrounded by cycling routes. The ancient town of Tetbury is easily walkable and full of charming little shops and antiques stores. We also recommend Westonbirt Arboretum, Prince Charles' Highgrove Garden Shop, Chedworth Villa's Mosaics or dip into the local markets towns such as Nailsworth, Bibury or Stroud. Our stunning region is known as the Five Valleys, with beautiful walks and bicycle tours to sample the amazing food for instance at Stroud's farmers market (a real hidden gem). This site is easily accessed by car or bicycle and when you book you will be given the exact location. We provide detailed directions and a map. There is free parking at the glamping site and we have a number of trusted taxi companies for travelling between Stroud or Kemble train station (each 6 miles away) and the site. Bikes can be hired on site so you can explore at your own pace or you can book a guided electric bike tour and let someone else do the navigating. Secluded glamping site, completely fenced off and private. Uninterrupted views across the fields. Please note that there are two other bell tents in the same field however these are over 50 m away.
