All main tourist sites are 10 min by car he centre of the village is a 5 min uphill walk or you can drive in a few short mins. If you need to go sightseeing we can organise local tours or taxi . The closest Fairy chimney valley is 2 mins from our front door. Comparatively untouched by tourism, Ortahisar still retains much of its traditional ambiance. It’s the perfect base for exploring the fresco-filled rock-cut churches and surreal moonscape of valleys for which the region is famed. We are 2 mins from Ortahisar village centre and 4 km from the main tourist sights of Cappadocia. From our door you can walk directly into the fairy chimney valleys and explore the caves, a byzantine monastery and the beautiful pigeon homes Beautiful to explore on foot . As Cappadocia is a large region and the sites are spread out we recommend renting a car, or taking a day tour or local taxi to maximise your time. Kayseri airport is 1 hr (75km)and Nevsehir airport is 40 mins drive from Ortahisar. Daily flights to and from Istanbul to Kayseri Erkilet Airport (ASR) or Nevsehir airport are operated by Turkish Airlines, AtlasJet Airlines and Pegasus Airlines. There are also some flights to and from Izmir and Antalya with Sunexpress. Airport shuttles should be booked in advance and we are happy to help you with that.Prive transfers for groups or individuals can also be booked for you . Please note Elaa Cave Hotel is set up as a hotel but with lounge , kitchen laundry, private courtyard etc that is all yours to use freely when you book this space in its entirety. Both restored houses are side by side and there are steps to one room and steps up to the breakfast room and terraces.
