Fox Cottage offers quirky private first floor accommodation: -2 bedrooms each with a double bed. -A small guest bathroom, situated between the two bedrooms. -A cosy sitting area with drinks making facilities. -Breakfast at a time to suit you. -Ample parking. NOTE The cottage is clean, light, airy and spacious. All upstairs areas have sloping ceilings. If you only require 1 bedroom for your booking, the remaining bedroom WILL NOT be booked out to other guests during your stay. You would be welcome to share our living spaces, but if you wanted to keep yourself to yourself, that would be respected. On first floor: Two bedrooms both with double beds. BEDROOM 1 (on right at top of stairs). BEDROOM 2 (on left at top of stairs). UPSTAIRS BATHROOM (situated between the two bedrooms). Consists of sink, toilet and sit in bath with hand held shower. You will only be sharing this bathroom with members of your own party. SITTING AREA Situated outside of the two bedrooms. There are two chairs available, with drinks making facilities on hand. NOTE All areas upstairs are set within the roof space and as such have sloping ceilings, this may not suit all guests. Ground floor: Access to shared living room area with log burning stove, TV and reclining leather sofas. Shared kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, double oven and grill, induction hob, breakfast bar and seating area. Also access to the dining room where breakfast is served. You are welcome to share the downstairs bathroom, which has a shower over the jacuzzi bath. Kathryn and Will are happy to help with travel plans, visiting ideas or answer questions about the area. If you would like us to keep a low profile that is perfectly ok too. We provide breakfast at a mutually agreeable time. Grange became a busy destination in Edwardian times. It is a small town vibrant with shops and visitors. Our house is located on the hill coming up out of Grange, 15-20 minutes walk from the town centre. Grange train station is a 30 minute walk from our home. There are lots of popular walks around the town and its surrounding areas. The view from the Hospice on Hampsfell is stunning, or opt for a walk over the Fells to Cartmel, with its shops, cafés, pubs, fine dining and racecourse to look around. It is short down hill walk to the town centre from Fox Cottage. Grange has a train station....30 minutes walk from our home. There is a local bus service running. Taxis are available but can be tricky. We are happy to help out, if possible, with local journeys. Grange over Sands has been a holiday destination in its own right for many years. Situated so close to the Lake District National Park there are many options of walks for all abilities, places to visit and things to go and see. We have leaflets and maps available to assist in planning your itinerary. Or relax and take a stroll along the promenade, just a few minutes walk away. Grange over Sands has some famous local name shops and there is plenty of choice when it comes to cafés and eating out.
