Peaceful mill in the Loire Valley near Montrésor.

The Moulin St. Martin is a restored, 450-year-old mill near Montrésor, voted one of the most beautiful villages in France. The 4,500 sq. ft. home on 9 acres is quiet and secluded, and is family and pet friendly. The house has 4 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, sleeping 8. The kitchen is fully equipped. Excellent catered and delivered meals are available upon request. Nearby Loches offers restaurants and markets, and the house is a short distance from the region's beautiful châteaux. The Moulin St. Martin was a water-generated grain mill where bread was made for the village for several centuries. Today, it offers a generous living space on beautiful grounds--quiet and private. The people in the nearby village are friendly and helpful and the house is a short drive (or walk or bike ride!) from some of the most beautiful villages and chateaux in France. Eight people can sleep comfortably at the Moulin St. Martin. The master bedroom with king-sized bed has one full bath and one full shower. The middle bedroom with queen bed overlooks the courtyard, and has its own bath. The middle room connects to the children's room with two twin beds and one crib. They can either share the bath with the middle bedroom, or with the end bedroom (over the old bread oven), which has two twin beds and a brick floor. The kitchen is large and fully-equipped with a Paul Bocuse stove, Swedish wood stove, a new dishwasher, an espresso machines, and all the cooking accoutrements you will need. The kitchen table comfortably seats 10. There is a small river which runs through the property. (We have provided a fenced courtyard for small children, otherwise parents must be aware that the river is not fully fenced). A new table tennis set is in the house, as well as other games for small children. There is a wood stove in the kitchen and large fireplace in the living room (fire wood is also provided). WiFi is available. A new fiber optic line was recently laid in the village and WiFi is very reliable. There are 9 acres to explore on the property, as well as many walking and cycling routes. I am happy to answer any questions. Beaumont Village is a sleepy village, surrounded by farm land. It is a short drive to the boulangerie as well as a fully stocked grocery and butcher in Montresor. There are markets twice weekly in Loches, a 20 minute drive, and weekly in Montresor. One hour TGV ride from Paris towards Bordeaux - rental car services at St. Pierre Des Corps for the drive to house. Other than the TGV and bus in Tours, there is no local public transport apart from taxis.
