Guest-Aptm w/bathroom & kitchenette
Small Apartment (en-suite) with (semi)private entrance Our little guest apartment has 16 m² (175sqft) and is fully equipped with a queen size double bed (140 x 200 cm), an extra sofa that unfolds into another bed (also140 x 200 cm)), a kitchenette with micowave, ceran hob, refrigerator, a small breafast area and a ensuite bathroom (4m²/45 sqft) with shower. A small garden and a swimmingpool make for a refreshing break after a long hot day outdoors. Since we use pool and garden ourselves we would need to arrange their use by guests. Ideal for a couple with 1 child who would spend their money rather on culture, wine & dine or nice events than on expensive accomodation (PLEASE NOTE: The listing says 3 guests, but really only if one of them is a minor, otherwise you'll find it a bit cramped. We will have to turn down any requests with 3 adults over 14 or so). A word of candor: Although there is a reasonably well organized Public Transport System, you will find your own wheels to be an asset. Buses are frequent in the morning, at noon and evening, but NOT in between. After 10 pm no public transport services anymore. Ideal location for travellers on their way down south (or north ;-) ) who'd like to stop over to enjoy our world famous Margravial Country, explore the southern Black Forest or the Vosges Mountains or who simply wish to relax in Germany's Tuscany, the famous Baden Wine area on two or four wheels. IMPORTANT: We like to know whom we will be hosting, so a good number of positive reviews would obviously be an asset. - We are welcoming towards airbnb-newcomers, but in that case especially - as we really do expect with all enquiries - we need to know some details about you, your travel-companion and your travel plans. Also be sure to have your identity card and phone-number registered with airbnb. DISTANCES: Freiburg 15 km, Colmar/Vosges mountains 30 km, Black Forest 15 km, Kaiserstuhl (famous Baden vineyard) 15 km, Europapark (a MUST-GO for parents with children) 35 km. Gas-station, bakery and two restaurants in the village, next supermarket 2 km away Next ICE railway station: Freiburg/Brsg. 15 km/30 min on Public Transport; next local-train railway station: Bad Krozingen 6 km/11 min on Public Transport, Bus every hr. or so, Bus-stop ca. 250 m walking distance from aptm. Heart-Clinic Bad Krozingen: 7 km, 10-12 min by car Transfer from/to Basel Airport (55km) can be arranged (50 EUR). Transfer from/to Freiburg ICE-station (15 km, 20 EUR) Shared pool, available for use upon consultation for short periods. - Please note that garden and pool used by us as well and a measure of discretion as to using them is appreciated. If you want to spend several hours in a pool environment we can give you some good local hints in our vicinity. Since we are both working, interaction might not be too much. We're usually around in the evenings, but not regularly. We also respect the privacy of our guests, yet we are happy to do whatever we can to make your stay comfortable. Heike and I are ALWAYS reachable by e-mail or text and we try to respond quickly. Our parents live on the top floor, but they don't speak English and may not be of much assistance, although they are friendly but prefer little to no interaction with our guests. Dad's workshop is next to your room, but obviously he will not work there at night and rarely when we have guests. It's residential, quiet (!!!!!) and a great vantage point for excursions by bycicle, bike or car. You best have a car or a motorbike! Public transport is good in the morning, at noon ane evening between 4 and 7 pm. Otherwise not very frequent. Bus 242 to Bad Krozingen train station (local train to Basel or Freiburg) or Bus 241 to Freiburg Central Station (ICE every hour). Before writing to make inquiries pleeeeeze !!! check for details online at (Website hidden by Airbnb) (select your language there on top right; sorry for the spacing, but if I don't the website will be hidden, You will want to enter the adress WITHOUT spaces of course) Best site I know for getting around, operated by Deutsche Bahn, the German Railway system, but covers all means of transportation (buses, streetcars, underground systems, and the like all over Germany and the better part of Europe) PLEAS NOTE: If you want to explore downtown Freiburg or need to rely on frequent and speedy public transport to and from the Black Forest Area, you may find a place in Freiburg to be more convenient! ABSOLUTEY NO (!!!) SMOKING IN THE HOUSE OR GARDEN. By all means do avoid noise our loud talking around the house, especially when using the pool. Please no parties or visits from third-party folks!
