Well designed and well decorated, with great views. A relaxing, peaceful place within a few hundred meters of Tianmu's expat-friendly amenities, dining and shopping - as well as the major international schools. Plentiful fresh air and sunlight, as well as a large adjoining terrace garden and outdoor furniture. Steps from Tianmu Park, the trailhead of a popular hiking trail and easy public transportation. LBGT-friendly and diversity welcome. Currently unable to host those that must quarantine. Comfortable oasis, steps from city amenities, transport, parks and hiking - as well as Taipei American School and Taipei Japanese School. Large terrace garden with views, plants (lots of herbs for cooking!) and outdoor furniture (tables, chairs and swing) - perfect for morning coffee, evening glass of wine and al fresco dining. Nice decor and design. Comfortably sleeps two on the queen size bed in the bedroom, but can sleep an additional two on the sofa bed in the living room. Simple kitchen with single burner, microwave and refrigerator - as well as pots, pans and utensils. High speed wireless internet and cable TV (with CNN, BBC, HBO, etc.), with DVR. Two often overlooked features necessary for pleasant Taipei stay... efficient air conditioning and a clean, pleasant, roomy bathroom. The apartment has an independent entrance and it's own washer and dryer. There is an elevator to the top floor and you will walk up one flight of stairs. Literally designed as a mother-in-law apartment, to give both proximity and privacy to visiting friends and relatives. Please feel free to ask us for information and advice on enjoying Taiwan and/or be left alone. We occasionally come up to the terrace garden to pick herbs for cooking and, sometimes on a nice evening, enjoy the view and a glass of wine. Don't worry, it's a pretty large terrace and we respect your privacy. Tianmu is an upscale residential area and the traditional expat area of Taipei. It is home to the largest international schools. The stores and restaurants are used to dealing with non-Chinese speakers - in fact, many cater to it. It is extremely safe and friendly. It is close to parks, hiking trails and hot springs. Easy bus and MRT access to downtown. Three minute walk to a key bus stop for easy connection to downtown and MRT stations. Ten minute walk downhill to a YouBike (bike share) docking station - same for the Taipei American School and Taipei Japanese School. Easy street parking available, but... why? We are unable to host visitors from overseas during their government-mandated 14 day quarantine period. However, you are welcome after the quarantine is completed. Thanks for your understanding!
