Rarangi Beach is fantastic for star gazing on a clear night with no light pollution. Beachfront bedroom & ensuite, living/dining & a built in window seat (our guests fav spot). Sofa bed in living area. Beach front patio & rear outdoor dining areas. 2nd bedroom is a sleepout on the other side of the property. Property is fully fenced, safe for kids and pets (negotiable). We welcome guests who love dogs as we have 2. Large beachfront swimming pool (full year round but not heated) and spa pool (cooler months only) with many relaxing outdoor areas. Smart TV & Netflix. Blue tooth speaker. Books. Cards. Backgammon. Tasteful & comfortable beach style, where sand on your feet doesn't matter! All beds are super comfortable with fresh quality linen. Breakfast supplies, tea/ coffee pod machine/sugar, milk, pantry basics/ herbs, lemons etc and sometimes fresh free range eggs. Limited cooking facilities but sufficient to make full cooked meals-microwave, electric frypan, Ninja Foodi (air fry, saute, grill, rice, slow cook, roast, pressure, steam) and BBQ. The 2nd bedroom is the sleep-out. This is a spacious room with a double & 2 single beds, tea/coffee facilities, microwave, fridge, outdoor dining area and own funky bathroom (composting toilet) which all lead directly to the pool area. Suitable for adults or older teenagers. Rarangi Beach is fantastic for star gazing on a clear night with no light pollution. 20 mins drive to Picton, 15 mins drive to Blenheim, wineries, Cellar doors, cafes, restaurants & supermarkets. Laundry, WiFi, bikes, tennis rackets (courts 5 min walk) The Beach House Rarangi is perfect for wedding accommodation with the whole property sleeping up to 14 people and caravans available for more guests. Kids-toys, dolls house available & books you can take with you. Enjoy day trips to Picton & Marlborough, Kaikoura, Nelson or Wellington with the convenience of not having to pack up each day. Queen Charlotte Sound is the gem of Marlborough-not to be missed! Direct access onto the beach. Free laundry facilities (laundry powder, washing machine and dryer (only if wet weather) or line dry. Off street car parking and locked garage parking available for motorbikes if requested. Private cellar door tours may be available, please ask first. Golf clubs available on pre-ordered request. The Beach House Rarangi Beach is our home and the driveway is a shared space, so we are usually on site. Your beach pad is private to you with gates and fences for your privacy (other than beachfront as that would impede the view!). You are likely to meet our 2 dogs who are friendly but we prefer you to meet them once they know you are here as they are rescue dogs and have a nervous nature. So usually we will have them inside our place or in their own separate space. We may be able to meet you if you prefer depending on arrival time. Juls typically works from home 2 days a week. Rarangi Beach is quiet and peaceful with lots of things to do including great beach walks & awesome photography opportunities. Note there are no shops here. Local glow worm caves. Take the walk down to Monkey Bay, an early Maori trading point with information boards on the history. Longer walk over the hill to Whites Bay and have a picnic at this beautiful spot. Golf course & tennis courts across the road. Walks, bike tracks, playground and pump track for kids. Plenty of wineries including cellar doors and restaurants a 10 minute drive. Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre-rated one of the best in the world and Omaka Classic Cars are a 15 minute drive. Queen Charlotte Drive is 15 minutes away by car, winds around the Marlborough Sounds with stunning views and access to many bays from the road. You can drive to the start of Queen Charlotte Track and walk as much of it as you want, or get a water taxi to a bay. Kayak in the Sounds or go dolphin watching. Marfells Beach and Cape Campbell walk is 30 mins away. Pelorus River is 40 min drive, a scene from The Hobbit was filmed here. Nelson, Picton, Kaikoura and Wellington can all be done as day trips and we can recommend places to go. Fishing charters with operators out of Havelock or Picton may be available booked well in advance. You need your own car. Limited cooking facilities but sufficient to make full cooked meals-microwave, electric frypan, Ninja Foodi (air fry, saute, grill, rice, slow, roast, pressure, steam) and BBQ. Excellent 4 Square supermarket is 10 mins drive. Swimming in the sea here is OK on a calm day if you are a reasonable swimmer-but it is cold. Safe beach Whites Bay over the hill. Walking tracks and mountain bike areas close by (2 bikes available). Dogs: we will consider you bringing your fur baby with you. Must be neutered/spade, vaccinations up to date, registered, well behaved and keep off furniture. Prefer female, non shedding and small to medium. Please enquire first.
