This spacious property, with amazing views, sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms (plus a cot). Large private garden and a 5 minute easy walk to the market town of Hawes makes this property ideal for families. Extra benefits include a conservatory, piano and guitar! There is a cycle rack for 5 cycles which can be securely stored in the conservatory, plus an outdoor tap for washing your muddy bikes! While we do not live locally, we are always available on the phone. Our trusted caretaker lives locally. Many visitors come to enjoy walking and cycling in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales - Hawes is centrally positioned and makes a great base with shops, restaurants and pubs all within easy walking distance of the cottage. The famous Wensleydale Creamery, the Countryside Museum, large children's playground and Gayle Mill are all on your doorstep. A little further afield is the romantic Bolton Castle, the famous Aysgarth Falls and Ribbleshead viaduct. Both the Lake District and the East Coast are less than 2 hours drive from Hawes. We provide plenty of maps and local information. Easy walk into Hawes from the house, though Wensleydale is best accessed by car (or bicycle!), but there is also a good local community run bus service (the little white bus) which also meets trains from the nearby Garsdale railway station. There is parking for 2 cars in our yard, but please do not park near the manhole covers that are over the cesspit!
