Upalong, 2 mins to beach, garden, dogs welcome.

Upalong is perfectly placed for a seaside break all year round, just a 2 minute stroll from Hope Cove's amazing beaches, lovely places to eat out and stunning coastal paths. It's a cosy cottage with seaside charm with a beautiful garden with sea views. Dogs are welcome. The lovely garden is a good size and has wonderful sea views – with outdoor furniture provided it’s the perfect setting for enjoying a morning coffee, alfresco dining or watching the sunset. There is also a pretty summer house with deckchairs and fairy lights which is an idyllic retreat. Upalong is an upside down house. You will enter the property into the open plan living space consisting of the lounge, dining area and kitchen. The area is bright, airy and filled with natural light. The bathroom and toilet are also upstairs, with fresh towels provided. The lower level of the property is accessed via a staircase directly into the main bedroom. The main bedroom has a kingsized bed, with bedding and linen and a spacious wardrobe for storage. Please note that there is no window in the main bedroom yet natural light comes through the stair well and there is plenty of cosy lighting including fairy lights. The second bedroom is accessed by walking through the main bedroom with a door separating the rooms. There is a single bed and a bunkbed with bedding and linen supplied. Please note that the frosted window in the second bedroom looks out into the neighbours yard with a blind in place for privacy. Upalong is hosted by The Ellis Family. We are four siblings Wendy, Tim, Lou & Debbie. Our parents bought the cottage in 1980 and we spent all our holidays in sunny Hope Cove. We have years of fond memories of sea swimming, country walks, ice creams, building sandcastles, and family picnics. We now have our own families and love sharing the magic of Upalong and Hope Cove with them. We are thrilled to be able to share our lovely family cottage with you so you can discover the charm of beautiful Hope Cove. Dogs are welcome at Upalong and there are lots of doggy friendly walks and beaches. We do however request that your dog if not left unattended in the property or garden. The garden is not completely fenced and the seaward side has a low shrub fence, with a steep drop behind. Please bring your dogs bed, blankets, food bowls and towels. The whole property, garden & summerhouse. Available for a minimum of 3 day period, one week and two weeks stays. Hope Cove is a quaint village with endless charm - in addition to clean beautiful beaches you’ll find a village shop/post office, an art gallery, a pub, a bar and the Lobster Pod bistro. There are stunning walks to be had along the coast line, with the market town of Kingsbridge and popular Salcombe both just a 10 minute drive away. There is a handy lay-by opposite the entrance path which can be used for unloading your car. Then you can park on the road to Outer Hope (only a minutes walk) or in the pay and display village carpark. Please note the property is set back from the road and accessed via a short uneven narrow path (approx 15 paces).
