A self contained secluded luxury shepherds hut for two near the Brecon Beacons national park with delightful valley views. Situated on a small working farm eight miles from Junction 49 at the western end of the M4. Enjoy the seclusion of the farm and walking opportunities in the area as well as the local attractions in East Carmarthenshire of castles, stately homes, gardens, local villages and towns. Further afield are the beaches and beauty spots of Swansea, the Gower and Pembrokeshire. A shepherds hut that we hope will have everything that you could desire! If not please ask!! For a layout plan look at the photograph. Studio style with integral electric shower room, toilet and hand wash basin. Main area has kitchen, Belfast sink, Ceramic hob, microwave (also with convection and grill), toaster, fridge and constant hot water. You have a radio but not television or Wi-fi. Electric heating together with highly insulated walls, floors and roof should keep you comfortable whatever the weather. Good 4G mobile coverage available and wi-fi is usually available in the adjacent dutch barn and lookout covered area. We also have fresh eggs for purchase and there is 64acres of our farm in fields and woodland to roam over if you don't fancy driving or walking locally. Our renovated Dutch Barn is available with a viewing area for relaxation or a barbeque. This area can also be used to dry damp clothing since it does occasionally rain in Wales. (wet clothing we will try to dry in the farmhouse) Bringing your own wet weather gear is highly recommended unless you propose to be under cover for the whole of your visit. Andrew and Shari live on the farm and allow visitors to wander the farm, buildings and activities but visits are at your own risk. You will be in the country so please be aware that at night it is dark so have a flashlight. A car is almost essential. The nearest bus service is about a 30 minute walk. The nearest railway station (Ammanford - Heart of Wales Line) and Bus station (Ammanford) is about a 45 minutes walk. If you require collection from the railway station please let us know. A 5 minute car journey takes you to Ammanford which has shops and supermarkets with delivery service. Market day is Friday. 'Basic' cooking essentials (salt, pepper, oil) are provided and there is a limited supply of coffee, tea, sugar & milk to settle you in. A pinch of this and that from the farmhouse kitchen is never a problem so long as we have some! The delightful rural country town of Llandeilo is 20minutes away with an assortment of boutique shops and hostelries.
