Spacious 2BR apartment in old Kingston
You'll feel like you've walked into an African treehouse when you open the door of this apartment - that's why we call it 'The Treehouse'. This 2-bedroom African-styled multi-level apartment in old Kingston has the most modern and comfortable furnishings, a fully equipped kitchen, deep bath and stunning tribal artwork. Free Wi-Fi and Netflix are provided for your work or pleasure. Brand new top-range bedding, crisp white hotel linen and fresh towels are ready to welcome you. "The Treehouse" apartment is on the upper level with views through the heritage conifers over old Kingston. With one convenient carpark, you can enjoy a short drive to work or simply park the car and walk to the vibrant al fresco bars and restaurants of the Kingston Foreshore. If you are tired of staying in small corporate apartments with old furniture, harsh lights, and mismatched cutlery, then this is your new home away from home. As you step through the front door, the calm tranquillity of Africa will embrace you and you may never want to leave. Kingston Treehouse is a two-storey apartment, configured as follows: Downstairs • Fully equipped kitchen with electric appliances (stove, microwave, induction cooktop, and dishwasher) and new plates, knives, and kitchen utensils. We stock a simple selection of food for breakfast such as muesli, milk, coffee and tea. Guests will need to purchase food items for longer stays. • Six seater teak dining table • Separate lounge area with soft leather lounges and plush rugs, flat-screen TV with free Netflix, soundbar, free Wi-Fi • Separate Laundry with combined washer/dryer and separate toilet. All cleaning products, brooms, vacuum etc. are available if you need them. • Split system air conditioner for summer and a gas heater for winter will see you comfortable no matter what the weather is up to. • The fox sitting beside the lounge is named Tyler and given he’s stuffed, we find him to be a great house companion. Upstairs • Bedroom 1 has a brand new Queen Sealy Posturepedic bed with a sliding door to the deck where you can sit back, relax, and welcome the day over a steaming cup of coffee. There is a walk-in wardrobe and alcove with ironing board for last-minute freshen ups. • Bedroom 2 has a brand new Double Sealy Posturepedic bed, built-in robes and an office desk and lamp for any early or late-night work during your stay. NOTE: Due to a recent hail storm and insurance delays, our skylights are waiting on repairs. Rest assured, the Treehouse is watertight, safe and comfy. Just wanted to let you know in advance and answer any questions you may have before you book.x • TV and Music: there is a flat-screen TV with soundbar and NETFLIX and a DVD player in the lounge. Just log into the ‘Treehouse’ icon (that looks kind of like the fox beside the lounge). If you would like to stream some music to the soundbar, activate your Bluetooth and pair with HT-CT290/291. • Consumables: such as tea and coffee, as well as shampoo, conditioner, and toilet paper are provided as a part of your package. • Linen: we will supply all linen, doonas, bathroom towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your visit. There is no daily housekeeping service. • Parking: there is off-street for 2 cars. One external carport (with lockable bollard, key on the house set) and one garage. Additional parking is available on the street. • Smoking: there is no smoking permitted in the apartment. • Security: while this is a safe neighbourhood, we recommend that you lock the front door when you leave and use the lock-box to store the house keys when going out. There is a charge for the replacement of lost keys. • Accidents: we understand that breakages and spills will happen from time to time. If there is any breakage, spills, stains etc., please let us know via the Airbnb as soon as you can. Any significant damage or cleaning required may result in additional charges and/or charges against the security deposit. Please refer to house rules for more info. • Furniture: The beds, sofas, tables, appliances etc. are not to be moved around - even if you intend to put them back later. • Cleaning Supplies: All your kitchen cleaning needs are located under the sink. Broom, mop, and vacuum cleaner are located in the laundry. Iron and ironing board are located in alcove of the main bedroom. • Noise: The development is in a quiet residential neighbourhood. We ask that you respect our neighbours and refrain from loud music and parties, which may disturb them. 'The Treehouse' is not a church nor a night club. We’re sure you will find the happy medium. COMMON AREA: Due to the pandemic, common areas may be closed without prior notice. Please refer to the updated guidelines and announcements in the premises at the time of your arrival. There is a key-safe for self check-in. Only 1 guest key set is provided. Please take care not to lose the keys as their replacement will incur a fee. I am available mostly through Airbnb messaging but I give privacy to my guests. If there is an urgent issue, you can always call me. I have been living in Canberra for quite some time now and can help you navigate your way around the local area if you need. I can also provide you with any tips on the best places to go for food or just to have fun! It's one that's a walk to work in the Parliamentary Triangle, a Sunday morning spent at a local coffee shop such as Penny University or Local Press. A great position within walking distance to the Kingston Markets, Lake Burley Griffin and Kingston shopping precinct as well as the trendy new scene of the Kingston Foreshore, your new home is in the epicentre of Canberra’s attractions. Any violation of our no-party rule will result in a $2000 non-negotiable penalty, in addition to any damages.
