The cottage is nestling in the foot hills with its own spectacular view of mount Snowdonia and is only a very short drive to the beautiful beach of Dinas Dinlle (approx 10 minutes). You will be spoilt for choice with all the surrounding scenic walks and lots of interesting things to do. It is the ideal location to have an enjoyable and relaxing break away from the hustle and bustle of every day life. If you are looking for a tranquil break then snowdrop cottage is for you. It is also a divers paradise being a short walk to the popular Dorothea Quarry and the magnificent Caernarfon Castle being just 15 minutes drive away. The things to do in North Wales is endless. There are many family attractions including zoos, farm parks, steam trains, leisure centre and events from cultural festivals and agricultural shows to family fun days. The area also offers a wide range of activities including walking, cycling, fishing, diving, golf and water sports. We are a pet friendly self catering holiday cottage located within the historic region of North Wales in the impressive village of Talysarn. Facilities Luxuries: Freeview,DVD Player, Playstation General: Central heating Standard: Kettle, Toaster Utilities: Cooker, Microwave, Fridge/Freezer, Washing machine Rooms: 2 Bedrooms, 1 snug,1 bathroom and 1 shower room both have W.C Furniture: Single beds (2), Double beds (1)Sleeps maximum of 4 Living Room There is a 2 seater sofa and 3 seater sofa, drop leaf table with 4 chairs, Tv, DVD Player and playstation 2, wood burner. Bedroom 1:1 Double Bed, small wardrobe, two bedside tables with two table lamps Bedroom 2: 2 Single beds, chest of drawers, two bed side tables with table lamps Shower room(upstairs):Enclosed shower cubicle, sink and toilet Snug (downstairs): There is a small snug to the front of the house. Bathroom(downstairs): Bath with an electric shower, sink and toilet Outdoors: Private garden, Parking space to the front of the cottage Further details indoors: The house itself has gas central heating from a combi boiler and has an equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms upstairs and a small snug downstairs to the front of the cottage. The house has a great deal of charm and has retained a lot of its original features including an original slate wall in the main lounge. Further details outdoors: The house has a parking space to the front and a terrace garden to the rear.If you have more than one car there is plenty of parking in a car park just 30 yards from the cottage. There are a number of walks from the house and great views over the Nantlle ridge and summit of Snowdonia. The nearest path to Mount Snowdon is only 6 miles away from the house in the quaint village of Rhyd-Ddu. The path to Dorothea Quarry is a few minutes walk from the cottage. Back Garden The garden is a three tiered garden. There is a seating area with a mountain view to enjoy. The next tier is work in progress and we ask guests not to access for safety reasons. Children and animals must be supervised at all times. Please Note: Dogs must not be left alone in the cottage. Please make sure Dogs are kept of the furniture and not allowed on the beds. Children must be supervised at all times whilst in the back garden. Please note that the cottage is over 150 years old. The stairs are steep and there is a low doorway in one of the bedrooms. Caution is to be taken. Whole house I have people avaliable for any problems in the village. I am avaliable by phone. The North Wales / Snowdonia / Gwynedd Region North Wales has many astonishing Mountains, unspoiled Lakes and peaceful beaches to explore all steeped in legends including the one of King Arthur. Places of interest include the beautiful village of Beddgelert , historic town of Caernarfon and its famous castle where Prince Charles was invested as the Prince of Wales. The exciting Ffestiniog steam railway runs from Porthmadog all the way to Caernarfon through the heart of Snowdonia . All this is easily accessible from Snowdrop cottage, being just a short drive away. The Caernarfon / Talysarn area With plenty of Slate Mines to explore and gold panning available you won’t be disappointed. There are also local pleasure flights from Dinas Dinlle airport and Dorothea Quarry to explore and enjoy. There is a leisure centre locally if required however the great outdoors is the main attraction here. The lovely isle of Anglesey is close by and has famous beaches ,nature reserves and even a ferry port to Ireland. If you are planning a family day trip and are looking for things to see & do during your visit then North Wales has plenty to offer. With family and heritage attractions, indoor and outdoor activities along with shopping and an extensive programme of events. To the West of the region lies the Snowdonia Mountain Range which attracts climbers and walkers of all abilities. On the Llyn Peninsula you will find some of the best sailing and surfing beaches that Wales has to offer attracting visiting from all over the world. Ynys Mo- Isle of Anglesey is surrounded by 125 miles of coastline and has a wealth of historical sites dating back to 4000 BC. This is an ideal day trip for families as the coastal resorts offer sandy beaches and fun attractions. There is public transport that runs from the village to caernarfon. From Caernarfon there are links to surrounding North Wales. We provide bed linen however we do not provide towels please bring your own. we allow a maximum of 2 well behaved dogs.
