From Reims). In a very quiet area, the accommodation is located next to the house where the famous master glassmaker René Lalique was born (a dedicated walking tour starts in front of the apartment). The Ay vineyard is classified as the highest in the Grand Cru appellation and its historic hillsides are listed as World Heritage by Unesco. They are only 2 min. walk from the apartment as well as the mansions and vineyards of prestigious Champagne Houses such as Bollinger and Deutz. There are also Champagne Ayala, Henri Giraud, the "Cité du Champagne", "Le Pressoir", Goyard Distillery, as well as around thirty winegrowers, small producers to explore by foot and to taste ! ...and in the neighboring villages are Champagne Billecart Salmon, Philipponnat, Jacquesson ... In 5 min. you will be in Epernay, the Capital of Champagne and in the Avenue de Champagne known as "the most expensive in the world" with its 200 million bottles of Champagne in more than 100 km of cellars including those of Moet & Chandon and Dom Pérignon. In 35 min. you will be in Reims to visit the Cathedral and the Champagne Houses Ruinart, Taittinger, Veuve Clicquot, Mumm .... An ideal location in the heart of a Grand Cru historic village surrounded by villages classified 1er Cru ! The village center is just 5 min. walk. You will find all the amenities there : bakeries, butchers, restaurants (La Rotisserie, L’Avarum, chez Baillet ...)
