Off-Grid Living In Authentic 18' Tipi!
Off-Grid Weekend In Authentic 18' Tipi! Immerse yourself in the quiet of nature and reconnect with your loved one on 21 secluded acres! Nestled on a babbling creek, this is ideal for a romantic getaway and unique experience for all adventurous travelers. Our traditional Sioux Indian Tipi (teepee) is custom built by the makers who created tipis for "Dances With Wolves". We can't wait for you to see it! Please note: 2 night minimum stay and no pets on bed please. Our Rain Catcher is up, however, we're working out the kinks to ensure a completely dry tipi for you. After the next rain, we should be ready to go! Thank you for your patience! 2-Night Minimum...This is indeed your back-to-nature retreat... note there is no running water or electricity, but we have the cutest (and cleanest) Outhouse just down the path from the tipi to accommodate you. As you enter the property through the locked cattle gate, drive down the winding, wooded path where upon you will see your custom tipi awaiting! We call it "Tatonga" which means "large deer", since we have an abundance of them on the property. Solar lighting leads the way to your tipi and to the outhouse. Walk a short distance across the wooden bridge and listen to the running creek winding along the back of the property. Enjoy a beautiful fire pit located a safe distance outside the tipi...you will need to either bring your own firewood (and lighter) or you may gather from the long wind-row of trees/debris located near the tipi (if you're not afraid of a little work)...and don't forget the S'mores! Firewood will be available in $10 bundles (provided by very kind neighbor) soon - working out details with him now for convenience of Airbnb guests. A super comfy bed with linens and blankets will have you relaxing in no time. There are battery-powered lanterns for your use inside the tipi along with a few board games/deck of cards...get back to the basics and enjoy! Relax, read a book, or just fall asleep in one of our hammocks. Note that the tipi is not heated or air-conditioned and for the safety of our guests, we do not allow anything with an open flame inside or around the tipi. That includes campfires (only in designated fire pit), BBQ, candle and incense burning. No smoking allowed in or near the tipi or outhouse. Also, we have spotty cell service at best so if you just have to have Wifi, you can drive to the end of the driveway and go to church parking lot...there you will get 1 bar for AT&T (can't confirm other cell services). This property is a wooded 21-acre (Website hidden by Airbnb) date, I have not seen wild animals on the property, however, I would advise you to take precaution and be cognizant that the potential for bear, coyote, etc. is definitely a possibility. Because of this, please do not leave food out, in or around the tipi. The safest place for food overnight would be in your car. Please don't leave any garbage lying around. What you bring in, you should take back with you. Our secluded and peaceful acreage await your arrival! All 21 acres...explore and enjoy! We do not currently live on the property, however, will be onsite throughout week and weekends as the farm is a continual work in progress and for maintenance. If you need to reach us and we're not onsite, we will be available ...you will need to make the trek to the church parking lot for cell service. You will love the area! Abundant wildlife...we have seen wild turkeys, large deer, and so much more! Listen at night for the Hoot Owls! If you're craving a burger, head to town to the Ball Ground Burger Bus...super fun (it's actually in a real bus!) If going to a winery is more your speed, Feather's Edge Vineyard is located ~7 miles from the property. If you need modern-day convenience, Jasper, Ga is only minutes away, i.e., Home Depot, Bojangles, Buffalo Luke’s (BEST wings ever!) Bent Tree Stables - 14 miles Gibbs Gardens - 15 miles Two night minimum stay
