This spacious family home with views over KnockLayde is situated in a quiet cul-de-sac just a short 10 minute walk from Ballycastle town centre, where you will find a range of restaurants and bars. There is a well stocked Eurospar close by. This wonderful spot really is a home from home. With Wifi throughout, ample onsite parking this spacious accommodation is light airy and tastefully presented. It sleeps 8 comfortably, comprising 2 large triple bedrooms on the first floor (double and single bed in one and a king size and single bed in the other, with a further double bedroom on the ground floor. A cot, highchair and buggy is available on request. The property boasts 2 reception rooms, a large and well stocked kitchen with separate dining area as well as utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Family bathroom including bath and separate shower is located on the ground floor. The property is perfect for a family getaway by the coast offering guests a fresh, bright and relaxing setting to make the most of your time away from home. Ballycastle Ballycastle is famous for the Ould Lammas Fair, held on the last Monday and Tuesday of August although with Covid restrictions this event is not guaranteed. There is plenty more on offer on any given day of the week. Enjoy a walk across the seafront and stop off for refreshments at the Costa Cafe in the Marine Hotel where you can relax amidst the hustle and bustle of this busy area. The Marina is worth a visit whilst in this area. On a clear day you'll be rewarded with spectacular views of Fairhead, Rathlin Island and the Mull of Kintyre. And just a few yards from the Marina is the Ferry Terminal to Rathlin which is situated just 6 miles off the coast of Ballycastle and is always worth a visit to see the Puffin colony and relax and enjoy the fresh sea air. Ballycastle boasts a wealth of leisure activities including, walking, fishing, cycling, tennis courts, and the very scenic Ballycastle Golf Club. For the children in addition to a day spent at the beach with a bucket and spade, there are plenty of outdoor parks and a bit further afield is the famous Watertop Open Farm. Giants Causeway - a World Heritage site, this is a spectacular site made up of 40,000 stone columns and is Ireland's most famous tourist attraction. Carrick-a-Rede. The Carrick-a-Rede Rope bridge links the mainland to the tiny island of Carrickarede. It spans 20 metres and 30 metre above the sea. It is owned and maintained by the National Trust. An exhilarating experience over the deep waters below, swing on it if you dare! Ballintoy. A sheltered harbour with stunning views along a rocky coastal walk. Dunluce Castle An old castle ruins teetering on a cliff edge, a visitor centre is on site where you can learn more of its history. Dark Hedges situated near Armoy, a must see even if you are not a Game of Thrones fan, a spectacular walk to the end will lead you to the Dark Hedges Hotel where you can stop off for some refreshments. Watertop Farm. An open farm with lots of activities for children, a great fun day out, need to check opening details due to COVID restrictions. Bushmills Distillery. Portstewart and Portrush The seaside resorts of Portrush and Portstewart for Morelli's ice-cream and beautiful pristine beaches. It makes for a perfect family trip being only 30 minutes away.
