Suite Colombier

The Domaine des Carriers is an old limestone quarry whose old houses and outbuildings have been restored into charming gîtes and guest rooms. This area, a true haven of peace and history, is located 5 minutes by car from Clamecy, 46 minutes from Auxerre and 2h35 from Paris. Located on the first floor of the Maison du Maître Carrier, the 62m² Suite Colombier combines several of the advantages of joint rooms. It is a Suite with a double bed on the ground floor (180×200) and another of 160×190 on the mezzanine with the possibility of converting them into twin beds (2 80×190 mattresses). There is a luxurious bathroom on the ground floor, and a shower room on the ground floor, with independent toilets. The outside access opens onto a pleasant terrace, between light and shade. Located at the end of the house, with a view and direct access to nature, this colourful and bright suite combines originality, calm and tranquillity. I have created those 2 gites and 4 bedrooms to offer you an optimal resourcing. It's with pleasure that I welcome you in this heaven of harmony, calm and beauty. I had a firm favourite to this vast space and I wanted to honour the men's job who have spent their life extracting and transporting constructing's stones which create the charm and Burgundy's houses. The name given to these four houses representes this intention to restore the carriers image: le Colombier, la maison du Contremaître, la maison du Maître Carrier and la maison des Compagnons. I will therefore be delighted to tell you the story of this estate and to do a guided visit of the quarry, of this history and of my recognition for those Men who do the word Here, the horizons are breathtaking. Nièvre landscapes offer a mosaic of colours, tinted by softness, splendour and riches. Everything is here, from wild and wooded valleys to ponds and lakes, through stone and granite facades. In this hiden space, the nature takes back there rights and paints us sumptuous pictures, mixed between brooks and meadows. You will also be able to detect wonderfull history, build around traditions and savoir-faire.
