Beautiful family friendly Ocean view cottage

Beautiful 3-4-bedroom house built in the 1940s and located .8 of a mile from the Head of Linekin Bay. Murray Hill Cottage is a beautiful cottage in the town of East Boothbay, ideally located for exploring and enjoying all that Mid-Coast Maine has to offer. Purchases in the 80s, Murray Hill Cottage has had extensive updates to continue to make it a welcoming and bright retreat in the most relaxing seaside town in Maine. The house is perched near the top of a dead end street with a simple 10-minute walk to the public boat launch, as well as to our local general store that serves a variety of fresh and delicious food. The kitchen sports painted wooden floors and is decorated with white and blue accents. It is fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans and all the things you'll need for cooking a meal. There is a large family dining table that comfortably sits ten. Enjoy the lovely outdoor dining area with a round glass table ideal for eating and playing games. In the living room there is a TV with cable and DVD/VHS player. You will have plenty of relaxation space in the living room as there are two couches and an extra day bed (which can be used as a lounge). We have installed a gas fireplace to use on cooler nights as well. A large picture window looks over the trees, south onto Linekin Bay. The porch is drenched in sunshine year round, and also boasts some of the best Maine coastal breezes during those hot summer days. On it there is outdoor furniture and a gas grill for entertainment. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs, and a piano room that has a daybed in it downstairs. The three upstairs bedrooms consist of one water view room with a double bed, another water view room with two twin beds, and last, a room with a queen bed and daybed (perfect for parents with a young child). There is a full bathroom with a tub upstairs. Downstairs has a bathroom with a stall shower and washer/ dryer available for your convenience. The house has two hot water heaters to allow multiple guests to take showers without water getting cold! The house is ideal for 6 people max. Cellphone coverage in East Boothbay is spotty - Verizon works well, others do not. We do have a home phone available for your use and there is now WIFI. Boothbay Harbor and East Boothbay are working fishing villages with a vibrant summer community. There are numerous restaurants ranging from gourmet to traditional coastal deep-fried seafood feasts. Authentic lobster shacks abound up and down the coast where you can order steamed lobsters, clams and other Maine delicacies and eat them with a bib while gazing at the ocean. Other activities in Boothbay Harbor include whale watching trips, island clambake excursions, and deep-sea fishing. Boothbay is charm personified and is located next to two of the other most gorgeous Maine coastal communities - Wiscasset and Damariscotta. Fall foliage in the area is spectacular!
