Detached Cottage set in Woods Fields & Meadows
A 500 year old building in a beautifully quiet and remote setting. Spend summer days in the very large gardens or on local walks from the doorstep. If you want sea and sand, beautiful dune beaches are 45 minutes away. Cosy in Winter for board games by the fireside or a home cooked feast. Let the kids tire themselves out on long country walks around the fields and woods. Make memories with family and friends or use the cottage as a place for rest, reflection, reading or creating. A detached half thatched cottage on a large 1/3 acre plot, suitable for a maximum number of 8 adults and children. There's a large living/dining/sitting area with 3 sofas and an 8 seat extendable dining table. The bathroom and WC are both on the ground floor. The fourth bedroom is a versatile space that could be used as a second sitting room. It has a writing desk, TV, sofa bed, and armchairs. The bed has a sprung mattress and can be split into two small singles or a small double. One of the bedrooms is on the ground floor and looks out to the back garden. Upstairs there are two very large bedrooms with their own separate staircases. Both have a King size and a single bed in each and seats to read and relax. This was our family holiday home since my parents rescued it from dereliction in 1969. Given a new lease of life (kitchen and bathrooms, beds and sofas) in 2015 and then shared through Air Bnb. Guests have the whole property to themselves including the gardens and drive. The postman and deliveries may take place and a gardener might also need to mow the lawn. I am always available via Air bnb. I am sometimes available to meet and greet. Nobody lives here, it's a permanent holiday let, family- owned. Norfolk is the driest county in the UK! Located in the Tas Valley with the Tas Valley Way footpath running from along by the church. The Tas Valley Way is a 25 mile footpath running from Norwich to Attleborough. (Signposts adjacent the church.) The area is a quiet peaceful haven of tranquility. Woodland areas and set aside fields mean there is an abundance of wildlife with deer, rabbits and bird life visible from the house. These can be spotted easily from the bay window. The cottage is set in an area of lowland fen, the Tas Valley and is itself situated near springs and therefore has a unique ecosystem. The region is great for cycling, riding, walking and trips to the seaside. You'll find your perfect beach less than an hour away. Sandy or shingle, busy or quiet, something for everyone. Canoeing and kayaks 30 minutes away in the Broads. Children love it here, there is space and freedom to roam and explore. You can go riding at local stables, gliding from Tibenham Airport or take a spin with a Lotus and visit their factory in Wymondham. There's a Steam Museum 20 minutes walk away and a Tank musesum 30 minutes in the other direction. Here they have a pool which can be hired out for group use at a very reasonable rate. Bressingham, near Diss also has a collection of working steam trains. Lots of tractors as there's a tractor mechanic workshop and they take them for test runs across the fields! The cottage is very remote so please don't expect anything within walking distance apart from the village hall, church and post box. The nearest pub is 2 miles away. Please read the guidebook which has our recommendations for activities for children and adults - there are lots of them! For footpaths please see a footpath map app, but you can walk from the back garden along the field side to meet the permissive footpath that runs across to the farm.
