Springs Cottage a rural retreat close to Bendigo
We're about 20km from the fabulous Mountain Bike Park at Harcourt. We live on 20 acres on a quiet road. It's a lovely undulating cycling area for road bikes. You can join the Goldfields Track 3km up the road for a robust hike. The garden we're creating is attracting plenty of birds. Plenty of kangaroos visit. The cottage is 15 years old. It's near our house, separated by a double carport. You'll have your own separate carport away from our place and the main entry and verandah of the cottage face away from us so it is all very private. It's peaceful, quiet and restful. Our place is 15 km from Bendigo and 25km from Castlemaine. Both are terrific towns with many festivals and cultural activities. The gallery in Bendigo has amazing visiting exhibitions. A good choice for a rural getaway. A chance to see kangaroos and birds. We have fruit and veges growing and a garden we've been planting for 4 years which you are welcome to wander around. We are very happy to help with any queries otherwise will leave you to enjoy your space. We love our quiet space while being close to town. The starry skies, moon rises and sunsets are a treat. Guests can wander our property. We have a plantation of sugargums, two dams and open space. We also have a cubby. We are reachable by phone if not at home or else just let us know if we can help you in any way. We have lots of maps if you'd like to know where to like. Bendigo and Castlemaine both have fabulous Tourist Info Centres. There's a tennis court 1.5km down the road available for use next to our local hall and CFA. The Bendigo National Park is nearby with the Goldfields Track easy to access. There are free walking tours in Bendigo or self guided walking tours with audio. You can be as active or restful as you choose in this area. You'll need a car to stay at Springs Cottage.
