Number 12 is a brick built, Victorian Terrace house only a few minutes walk from historic City of Ripon and its magnificent Cathedral. Downstairs there is cosy lounge with feature fireplace, TV/DVD player and WIFI. The lounge leads to a light, spacious and modern kitchen diner. There is also a sunny and private garden to the rear of the property with secure storage for bikes. Upstairs there is a bathroom with bath and shower mixer tap, and two comfortable and attractively furnished bedrooms. Should you need a travel cot and high chair for an extra baby guest please let us know and we will make them available to you. I will not be available during your stay but my sister and co-host lives on Victoria Avenue and will be available if needed. Ripon city is one of the smallest in the country but has plenty to offer. Apart from the Cathedral it has several museums, a Curzon cinema, cafes, bars and restaurants and lots of shops. Ripon has its own racecourse and is close to numerous other attractions including the UNESCO World Heritage Site made up of Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Deer Park, both a lovely walk from Ripon Centre. Other attractions include Brimham Rocks, Newby Hall, Ripley Castle and the World Famous Ripley ice cream, Masham and the Black Sheep Brewery and the Spa town of Harrogate which is only 20 minutes drive. The Cathedral and City centre attractions are only a few minutes walk from the house. There is an excellent bus service from Ripon to and from Harrogate (stopping at Ripley on the way) and Leeds (stopping at Harewood House) (No. 36) and to York. The nearest railway stations are Harrogate and Thirsk. Ripon sits on the River Ure and is where the Ripon Canal starts. Both river and canal offer great walking opportunities and stretches of both form part of the long distance Ripon Rowel walk. Since the Tour de Yorkshire and the more recent ICI Road World Championships cycling is very popular and many attractions are within cycling distance. Number 12 is in a residential area close to the cathedral and City Centre
