Lovely, cosy, EXTREMELY CENTRAL studio in the heart of the beautiful Cotswold town, Cirencester! Less than 30 seconds walk to cafes and shops galore! This studio is situated just off the High Street and is surprisingly quiet considering its location. This studio consists of a generous sized bedroom/sitting room with a super comfy King Size bed, a separate bathroom and facilities for making tea and cereal for breakfast. Free WiFi. This unique studio, has very creative roots as it was originally built for an artist. When the property is not rented, the airy, light feel of the studio with its north facing skylights, is still put to good use as a photography studio. Kay, the owner of the business, is also a professional Photographer. Dotted over the walls of the property you have the opportunity to see some of her work. When Kay has guests staying at the property, the working photography studio equipment will of course disappear! Guests are left to enjoy the warm, cosy comfortable space. Being in such a central location you have the freedom to pop in and out of the town with ease, dropping off your full bags of shopping as you go! This property is ideal for the solo traveller or for couples seeking a relaxed weekend away in beautiful Cotswolds. Due to its central location, it is also very suitable for those visiting Cirencester on business. We now boast an electric blanket, so you'll be toasty warm on those winter evenings....However if it's a heatwave we have air conditioning too! The best of both worlds! This studio, (one of Cirencester’s best kept secrets!), is tucked away down a little alley that the casual shopper would never even notice. At the end of the alley is a courtyard shared by 5 other properties, the studio is straight ahead of you clearly signed. This property is a self contained spacious studio. The studio is one large space, with the bedroom and sitting room combined and a separate bathroom. PLEASE NOTE: THERE IS NOT A PROPER KITCHEN available for this property. A kettle, fridge and microwave are provided. Guests have access to the shared courtyard outside the entrance of the property. You'll have your own privacy in the studio, I'll leave my guests in peace. If you have a problem, one of us in the main house will help you (call mobile). If we're unavailable, other local family members will be able to assist (see info pack in the studio for details). If shopping’s not your thing, Cirencester offers many other wonderful things to do. There are lots of beautiful places to go for a walk : Cirencester Park, the Abbey Grounds and just taking a potter along the old back streets of the town you will see so many old beautiful Georgian and Tudor properties. Also within walking distance of the studio, there are many top notch restaurants, cafes, pubs and bars. For leisure activities there’s a Lido and a Sports Centre. Other places of interest include The Corinium Museum and The Brewery Arts Gallery. Cirencester also boasts one of the country's oldest Charter Markets (mentioned in the Domesday Book in 1086, no less!), which is held weekly, every Friday in the town centre. There is also the Farmers' Market, which happens every second and fourth Saturday of the month, which offers local fruit, veg, game poultry, pies, locally brewed beer and to top it all off, locally made chocolate brownies (delicious). Coaches: The National Express coach stop is under a 10 minute walk away. Buses: Buses to Cheltenham (No. 51) and Swindon (also No. 51) are under a 5 minute walk away. Anyone attending the Gold Cup can get to Cheltenham using the No. 51 bus. Train: Kemble is a 10 minute taxi drive away. There is a fridge with tea/coffee/milk and cereal. Please see the information pack for plenty of suggestions for places to eat out. Free WiFi included. To access the property there are two steps, which makes wheelchair access difficult. Parking the forum car park is 2 mins walk and the brewery car park is 4 mins walk. Or you can rent you one of own on on-site spots for £5 a day, please ask us for details, this spot is just round the corner from the studio. If you smoke you are welcome to smoke outside (not inside) of the property there are a two steps you can sit on and there's a flower pot nearby for butt ends.
