Visit Piemonte: ‘Casa Collina' Castelnuovo Calcea
In the center of UNESCO world heritage: nice privat studio 'Genova' in our holliday house 'Casa Collina'. Kitchen with refrigerator, 2 gas hobs 1 electric hob, microwave, sitting area, privat bathroom, balcony, acces to swimming area with swimming pool (11x4,5 mtr., max. 140cm), barbecue place, outdoor kitchen with dish washer, refrigerator, washing machine, sauna, sunbeds. Private parking places, baby crib: free, Air condition. In the centre of the 'Barbera' wine yards... No breakfast included. The view of 'Casa Collina' is so amazing that it's almost impossible to catch it on paper or try to reproduce it in paint! Quiet area, dead end street. Just few cars or tractor are passing by. Very close to Milano-Torino-Genova. Sea side just about 1 hour by car. Also a convenant place to stay by your selve. Not too big and not too small. This area is a perfect place to be if you are interested in good food, wine, restaurants. You also can go out for biking or cycling. Peter knows a lot of beautiful routes for cycling or biking. It is also great to combine those two interests! You can use all the space around our house, upper terrace, playground, swimmingpool, outdoor kitchen with dish washer, refrigerator, barbecue and dining place. Sauna, indoor- and outdoor shower. Peter and I are living on level -1. We can assist you where/when ever you need it. * Torino, or Turin, is the region’s principal city. It has elegant covered walkways lined with shops, grand squares, and historic Baroque cafes. The city has one of the world’s top Egyptian museums, the elegant Palazzo Reale (a Savoy royal house), and a cinema museum in the Mole Antonelliana where you can go to the top of the tower for great views. The famous Shroud of Turin is kept in a church although it’s rarely displayed to the public. Turin has a small airport and is on a major rail line. * Near Turin, visit La Venaria Reale, another of the Savoy royal residences. It’s known for being a top example of Baroque architecture and art. * Wine towns or Piedmont include Barolo, Alba, Asti, and Nizza Monferrato. Many picturesque villages dot the vineyard covered hills, making the Langhe and Roero wine regions great places to explore by car. This area is also known for its fall truffles and Alba holds one of Italy’s top truffle fairs. * Bra is the home of the Slow Food movement and has a small historic center. * The western shore of Lake Maggiore is in Piedmont. Stressa is a top tourist town on the lake and ferries to other towns and the islands leave from Stressa. * The smaller, picturesque Lake Orta is also in Piedmont. * Cuneo is an interesting 12th century town near the mountains and the French border. Station: 10 min. walking (train to Agliano Terme or Asti) Village: 10 min. walking Shopping: 10 min. by car in Nizza Monferrato or small grocery in village, free parking. Apartment has HDMI cable, Internet all over the place. Also at the pool.
