Black Studio is located on the edge of fields to the north west of Edinburgh, eight miles from the city centre and two miles from historic South Queensferry. The studio is secluded and quite yet is well situated for trips into the city of Edinburgh, the airport and major roads accessing the rest of Scotland. The studio has a large picture window, private decking overlooking the fields and the Pentland Hills. Check-in is at 3pm and check-out at 11am but dependant on bookings we can flexible. The space is a single room studio with kitchenette and shower room. It is very quite, light, relaxing and stylish. The studio provides a restful space in which to reconnect with each other or with yourself. There is a parking space on the property but bus links are available following a ten minute walk into the town. Dalmeny, a small town thirty minutes walk away, has a train link to the centre of Edinburgh. We are available for assistance any time, you just have to ask. The studio has a very relaxing and quite atmosphere. Perfect for a relaxing stay interspersed with activities or just a good rest. We feel out of the way but if you come with a car it is a fifteen minute drive into Edinburgh, ten minutes to the airport and links to all the major roads for access to the rest of Scotland. We are next to the village of Kirkliston which is a ten minute walk from the studio to the local shops following a path away from the main road. We will point you in the direction of the path. South Queensferry is a forty minute walk away along a disused railway line. It is a great place to visit for walks on the beach, views of the Forth bridges and has several great restaurants, cafes and bars. These include Scott's, Orroco Pier, Dakota or the Manna House Bakery & Patisserie. The easiest way to get around is by car. A taxi ride into Edinburgh is from £17 to £25 dependant on time of day and taxi company. Dalmeny train station is a five minute drive away where there is free parking and with frequent trains, it is a good way to access Edinburgh City Centre. There is a bus service from Kirkliston, a ten minute walk away. Some research will be required to find the best service for your needs.
