Hideaway in the Woods

Peaceful and comfortable holiday home in a secluded location on a Cheshire farm. Completely self-contained self-catering accommodation with contactless check-in and check-out. Central heating. 2 bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, TV, WIFi, central heating. Large outdoor space with sitting area, bbq and fire pit. Dedicated parking. 20 minutes from M6 and 2 miles from Congleton. It is peaceful and close to nature: woodlands, pasture, wild life, night skies. Hideaway is a spacious and light 2 bedroom holiday home in a secluded location on a working farm. Very peaceful and quiet location, surrounded by woodlands. There is a large fenced off area with outdoor sitting, a bbq, a fire pit and a dedicated parking. There are 2 bedrooms - a double and a twin, sleeping 4 people comfortably. It has a fully equipped kitchen (full size gas hob, fridge with freezer, grill& oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, kitchen utensils, crockery), TV, WiFi, gas fire. There is a bathroom with a shower and WC, and an additional WC. Duvets, pillows, bed linen and guest size towels are provided. Central heating and double glazing. Please note that there is WiFi and the speeds are good, but is a not a broadband connection! It works great for regular web browsing, emails, social media etc etc, but it is not suitable for gaming or heavy downloads (like movies etc). Nearest shopping area with post office, excellent fish and chip shop, bakery and corner shop is 1 mile away. Congleton town centre with supermarkets and other amenities is 2 miles away. Hideaway is completely self-contained. Always available by text if required. Very rural location, but only minutes away from local amenities. Local golf course (9 holes - visitors welcome) neighbours the farm. Local amenities are 2 miles away in Congleton, a thriving market town. 2 Traditional English pubs are within a mile radius. Many historical attractions, country walks and trails nearby. Within walking distance are Macclesfield canal for narrow boats and the Cloud, the main local landmark, - a high outcrop of rocks overlooking the Cheshire Plain, which can be conquered at a leisurely pace in 40 minutes. Also, close by are several country houses to visit, incl.Biddulph Grange (National Trust – 2 miles), Little Moreton Hall (National Trust 3 miles), Gawsworth Hall and Capesthorne Hall (both privately owned Grand Country Houses - 6 miles) and the Tatton Park (NT) is a 30 minute drive. Another famous landmark, well worth visiting, is Jodrell Bank Observatory (8 miles). The Peak District National Park is 8 miles away. The town of Leek for antiques hunting and the Rudyard Lake for boating, fishing, steam railway are both 6 miles. Excellent fishing lakes nearby. It is best to have a car or a bicycle. There is an extra charge of £15 for staying pets, excluding service dogs and cats. Please keep pets under control as we have cattle grazing very nearby (could be meters away over the fence). Please be aware there is a natural pond nearby. Please do not go swimming, water is freezing and it is deep. There is a natural spring nearby, be super cautious if you go down to it, the area is very wet and slippery. No smoking indoors please. Farm yard and building are strictly out of bounds as we are a working farm and operate heave machinery.
