The accommodation is located at Sahara Park, near Adabraka Police Station and Melcom and is close to the central business district, art and culture. It is very central and ideally situated for travelers or interns. This bedsit was finalised in Oct 2017, comes fully furnished, includes a small kitchenette and en-suite bathroom. It has its own access. The brand 2017- studio apartment offers broad band internet access. Furniture and fittings were chosen with an African feel for a comfortable home in mind. Therefore we've used 'all local' products where possible. There are in total 3 units on that floor and you will have your own entrance. There are no shared amenities. Please generally inform us about your EXPECTED ARRIVAL time especially if you're arriving AFTER 20h (8pm). If you're travelling by plane please provide flight details so that we can check for delays. Against a small charge we can arrange pick-up from the airport. We live on the first floor of the main building in the same compound and in addition there is a 24/7 security and caretaker. You'll be given our phone number for any emergencies should they arise. The apartment is located in Adabraka which is symbolises down-town Accra with its uniquely historic colonial dwelling buildings. It is lively and bursts of the typical street vendors and local eateries, smells and noises which may appear strange to unaccustomed foreign visitors. Supermarket (City Dia) and a small department store (Melcom) are a 3 minutes walk away. You'll be literally 2 minutes away from the main road that connects to all parts of town by bus or taxi. A taxi will take you within 5 minutes to the financial district and just a few minutes more to Osu (Oxford Street) which is the centre for shopping, restaurants and night life. A cash deposit of USD50 is payable upon arrival. It will be fully refunded upon proper hand-over of the apartment on check-out date. The room rate quoted is inclusive the use of electricity but WITHOUT use of AC. Electricity cost in Ghana is significant and therefore it is not possible to 'fairly' quote an 'all-inclusive' rate. It is the guest's choice to book the room with or without AC. If AC is used a charge of USD 2/ per day will apply. 'The city never sleeps' and therefore as for any trip to Ghana we recommend to carry earplugs on you to make sure that you'll be able to enjoy restful sleep whenever YOU need it. IMPORTANT- If you are a first time visitor then it is very important to note that NOBODY (this includes taxi drivers) in Accra is familiar with street names. Blue signs indicating street names are a (very) recent development and may help you to find your way around, however, they are totally alien to locals. Therefore please make sure that when using public transport/ taxis you use landmarks rather than addresses to describe your destination.
