Set on 10 acres, Ethereal Pastures is a small hobby farm with a few sheep, a cow, and a few chickens. Contains a fully-equipped kitchen including microwave, dishwasher etc Guests love the peace and quiet, the farm animals, and the opportunity to fish out on the channel bank. The lounge area is stocked with board games and an assortment of novels for guests to use. The firewood basket will be full for guests at check-in (May - September only) Additional firewood can be supplied for a fee. Tea and Coffee supplied along with continental breakfast supplies. If you love fishing bring your own fishing gear. The Stuart Murray channel is 80m from the accommodation and frequently rewards keen fisherpersons with Murray Cod, Redfin, YellowBelly, and the highly sought after Murray Cray. Artists also love the scenery and set up their easels on the channel bank. Located 5.5km south of Murchison, 13km north of Nagambie, and 13km east of Rushworth, there is an abundance of things to do and see including sampling local wineries, visiting the historic township of Rushworth, or exploring all that the Goulburn Valley has to offer. Kids love the mooving art in the cow statues that are located all around the Goulburn Valley. Shrek cow, Spiderman cow, and Mermaid cow are among favourites. The border town of Echuca is a leisurely hour's drive offering Paddle Steamer cruises and historic sites visit. There a market within 30 minutes drive every weekend... Nagambie, Avenel, the renowned VioletTown market, Shepparton, Gigarre etc. Everything in the unit. An outside laundry which includes an additional shower and toilet can be made available for guests upon request. Note that this area is shared with hosts. Washer and Dryer can be used by guests by prior arrangement. Fees apply. I live in the farmhouse next door and am happy to assist you in any way that I can. Longleat Winery is the local boutique winery in Murchison. Nagambie and the many wineries in the region are all within 15 min drive. Shepparton is a 30 minute drive. The Railway Hotel in Murchison East offers a courtesy bus service for our guests. We highly recommend the Railway Hotel along with: Royal Mail Hotel Nagambie Nagambie Brewery and Distillery Noorilim Historic Homestead, Day Mill, and a number of other historic places to visit are all within 15 minute drive. There is no public transport past the property. There is a V-Line train station in Murchison East, and Nagambie. There is also a V-Line Coach stop in Murchison. The Railway Hotel offers a courtesy bus service to our guests if they wish to enjoy a night out at the Hotel with good food, music etc. A gas-bottle Patio Heater is available for use especially in the evenings if sitting outside. A gas barbecue is also available. NO SMOKING is permitted inside of the accommodation (including the use of vapour inhalation products). If you do smoke outside, your cigarette butts must be put out properly and must NOT be thrown on the ground but disposed of properly. There is a swing set and trampoline for children play on. Children must supervised at all times. All machinery, equipment, livestock water troughs, and plants (flowering and fruit/ vegetable bearing) are not for guest use. This is a working/ producing property.
