Country Getaway near Rye

My place is in a quiet country village not far from Bodiam Castle. Nearby is the steam railway station for a quick journey to Bodiam and Tenterden. The Great Dixter House and beautiful gardens is situated within a 10 minutes walk from the house. The historic town of Rye with it's art and culture is close by with public transport. The bus stop to Tenterden, Hastings and Rye is just 50 metres away. The Loft is a modern conversion with one double bedroom, plus a double sofabed in the open-plan living area. It consists of a small kitchenette area equipped with a fridge, microwave, kettle and a toaster. Tea and coffee are also provided for your use, along with plates, cutlery and mugs. There is a  flat screen TV with DVD player and a small selection of DVD's are also provided for your use.  On the second floor there is a bathroom that would be exclusive for your own use. All bed linen and towels are supplied, and included in the price. The loft sleeps up to four people. There is a king size bed and a double size bed-settee which would sleep two children under the age of 10 or one adult. I also have a fold down bed if required. Car parking is also available in a private carport. Sorry no pets allowed Guest have access to the loft and the bathroom on the second floor. I’m available most of the time to answer questions on places to go or eat etc. Two small supermarkets, Indian restaurant, cafe/coffee shop and fish and chip shop are all short distance away. Northiam is on the Kent/Sussex border and is an area of traditional pastureland, woods and rivers leading down to the nearby South Coast. The area is brimming with spectacular National Trust properties, historic homes and gardens. There is also the East Sussex Steam Railway, the pretty market town of Tenterden, the traditional fishing town of Hastings, the medieval smuggler's town of Rye and the famous 1066 battlefields from the Battle of Hastings. Bodiam Boating Station on the River Rother is only few minutes drive too. The place is just a 15min drive from the Kent/Sussex coast. Peaceful, beautiful, and super-comfortable in all seasons. Robertsbridge train station is only 20 minutes away. From there it is about an 1hr 15 minute train journey to London. The nearest airport, Gatwick, is 1hr 25mins away. A very friendly medium size dog lives in the house.
