Small cosy 1 bedroom cottage in Horrabridge
The house is a small cosy 1 bedroom cottage in the centre of the village of Horrabridge in Devon. There is one double bedroom and an additional single bed in the sitting room. It has been recently refurbished and all the plumbing and electrics are new, it has gas central heating, double glazing and Wi-Fi. There is a garden across the road and a secure shed for bikes etc. There is unrestricted on street parking in the area and usually you can park close by. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a micro wave oven. Please note the stairs are open on one side, they are relatively steep and narrow but there is a handrail on one side. We live about 4 miles away and are happy to meet visitors if they wish, we can suggest things to do and help if there are any problems or assist if you have any special requirements or need to borrow anything. Horrabridge is a picturesque village with the River Walkham running through it. The village is situated on the edge of Dartmoor, it is about 10 miles from Plymouth and 4 miles from Tavistock. Very close to the house is the London Inn and Leaping Salmon pubs, a bakery that makes great bread, a convenience store and an award winning fish and chip shop. The village is ideal for walking and cycling on Dartmoor or exploring the Tamar Valley. There are also cycle tracks nearby to Plymouth and Tavistock and a little further away the Tamar Trails with 25km of off-road paths. Tavistock is a historic market town with numerous shops, banks, cafes, pubs and a famous Pannier Market. Plymouth is a large city with a long maritime history, attractions include the historic Barbican district, The Hoe, Smeatons Tower and the National Marine Aquarium. Horrabridge is on the bus route from Tavistock to Plymouth. It is also on the Devon Coast to Coast cycle path (about 100 miles), Sustrans Route 27, 71 miles of the route are traffic free. The nearest railway station is Plymouth.
