Gorgeous designer wooden house. Our one-of-a-kind house is located in the Bearn region, close to the French Pays Basque. Lourdes, the ski resorts, Spain and the Atlantic Coast are only 60 min away. It is nestled in a unique mountain setting. The house – which rests on stilts – was specially designed by an architect using wood. It is nestled in a unique mountain setting, with breathtaking views of the Pyrenees. The 160m² house sports a green roof. It is located in the Monein hills, in a haven of beauty, peace and quiet. There is: 1 master bedroom with a king-size bed (160) 2 bedrooms with queen-size beds (140) 1 full bathroom with toilet 1 shower room 1 separate toilet 2 additional single beds (in the mezzanine) The open kitchen is bright and airy, directly giving way to the main living area located on the south side of the house. There is a wood stove, making your evenings even more cozy. You can access the covered terrace regardless of the weather to relax in the morning or at the end of the day. Smokers are also encouraged to make use of this space, since smoking is not permitted inside the house. There is an outdoor summer kitchen located under the house with a barbecue and garden furniture. You can park in front of the house and store your bicycles under the covered porch. The house, which is the main building, will be entirely yours for the duration of your stay. Monein is a small village (5,000 souls) located in the beautiful French Bearn region in the midst of vineyard-covered hillsides. Whether you are a weekend stroller or a confirmed hiker, you will love the many hiking trails available. Those who would rather mountain bike around will find just as many paths! Monein is located 25km from Pau, where you have both a train station and an airport. Motorway access (Artix) is only 10 km from the house, and several motorways will take you to Bordeaux, Toulouse or the seaside. The dining room table seats 6 people. A small table can be added to seat two children. The outdoor kitchen can seat 8 to 10 people. Baby equipment is also available upon request. Bed and bath linen are also supplied to you. For a worry-free stay, you can also purchase a cleaning service (100€). Otherwise, you are expected to return the house as clean as you found it upon arrival. A 600€ security deposit will be paid upon arrival. This money will be returned to you within 2 weeks after your departure.
