Cuckoo's Nest is a charming, secluded cottage set in acres of countryside and private lanes. The Giant's Causeway and Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge are only a few miles away, and Beyond the town of Ballycastle lie the breath-taking Glens of Antrim. The cottage is a spacious property situated all on one level, with no steps or stairs. An open plan living room and kitchen makes the most of the space, and a wood-burning stove adds an element of cosiness on chilly evenings. The spacious master bedroom, with kingsize bed, sleeps two. There is an adjoining wetroom ensuite with electric shower. The second bedroom has twin single beds - and the bathroom with bathtub is right next door. The cottage is kitted out with all mod-cons, although clothes can only be air dried. The sun lounge can be converted into a third bedroom with the help of a sofa bed. Check out the beach, Bonamargy Friary, Fairhead and Murlough Bay. Catch the ferry from here to Rathlin Island. Ballintoy is a small village, 3 miles away. The harbour was made famous by Game of Thrones. The Carrick-a-Rede Ropebridge is 2.5 miles from the cottage. Book tickets online to ensure your crossing during high season. The Giant’s Causeway is 9 miles from Crockatinney. The peculiar hexagonal columns are Northern Ireland’s most famous tourist attraction. The Bushmills Distillery is 11 miles from Crockatinney. Book a tour and taste a ‘wee dram’ TOP WALK: Hike from Crockatinney Cottages to Kinbane Castle (4 miles round trip) a bracing beautiful walk to a medieval ruin, site of a bloody massacre when the Scots and Irish clashed over the Kingdom of Dalriada.
