To ensure your stay with us is as relaxing as it is invigorating, we’ve thought of everything. While we offer hotel-standard rooms and facilities – from a dedicated reception team to cosy café – we’re all about home-from-home comfort and hospitality with a generous heart. Whether you’re enjoying the best night’s sleep in your spacious room, indulging in an Irish Trad Music session down in the local pub or exploring the Cliffs of Moher, Burren, Aran Islands etc. there is so much more to our Inn. Doolin Inn is situated in the picturesque village of Doolin, Co. Clare - the perfect base for exploring the Burren, Cliffs of Moher & Aran Islands. Galway City is also just 1 hour's drive away or can be reached by bus from Doolin. After a busy day exploring our beautiful part of the world, there’s nothing like coming back to your own comfortable, well-appointed room – with everything you need right there. Doolin Inn has 22 modern non-smoking rooms of different sizes, and all with private bathrooms. We’ve made sure our hotel experience and world travels have translated into providing the kind of rooms our guests want: a cosy bed for a great night’s sleep, quality furnishings in warm, relaxing tones and many additional conveniences. Since 2012 we have continually refurbished, developed and designed our rooms to exceed our guests’ expectations and constantly strive to be our best. All rooms have beautiful views of the village, terrace, gardens and the Aille River. Look out to the sea or across the green fields towards the valley behind us. Our only nearest neighbours are those that chew the cud and with 360 degrees of views to choose from, we are spoilt for choice. About Us - The warmth, personal attention and homely-charm of a modern country house, combined with the professional and seamless service of a hotel – this is Doolin Inn, your home in the heart of Doolin. From a hearty healthy breakfast to set you up for the day, to a beautifully-appointed bedroom with everything you need, and the friendly advice of people who really know Doolin. Our Food: Traditional, flavoursome, wild and fresh. Natural, wholesome, comforting and oh-so delicious. These are the foods and flavours of the Burren – and they’re reflected in the food we put on the table at Doolin Inn. Each morning you’ll look forward to coming down to a delicious continental spread with cooked breakfast options. The emphasis is on great home-baking, locally-produced ingredients and traditional Irish recipes that have been passed down through the Moloney family. Think rich and fruity soda breads, warm fluffy scones, farm-fresh eggs, traditionally-cured bacon, poached fruits and fresh juices. Our emphasis is always on healthy options and slow-burning foods that will sustain you through your day of discovery. Whether it’s mid-morning coffee and cake, or a warm drink and snack through the day – you’ll find our on-site coffee shop just perfect. Pop in anytime for a great choice of drinks and baked goods – all freshly made. Barista coffee (Locally roasted Anam Coffee), hot chocolate on a stick and heart-warming hot whiskies are just some of our favourites. Recent Awards: Awarded Fáilte Ireland’s Destination Award for Excellence in Customer Service, 2019 Burren & Cliffs of Moher Geopark – The Geopark Code of Practice Excellence Award 2019 Burren & Cliffs of Moher Geopark – Best Newcomer to Code of Practice 2019 Sustainable Tourism: Doolin Inn is a proud member of the Burren Ecotourism Network, a recognisable network of tourism enterprises in the Burren, who have achieved independent accreditation, demonstrate ecotourism ‘best practice’, positively discriminate in each other’s favour, provide ‘one voice’ representation on issues impacting the Burren (where appropriate), and inspire conservation activism. Doolin Inn's team is always on hand with helpful advice at reception and the coffee shop from 8am - 9pm. We are privileged to be located in the centre of the village overlooking Fisher Street. As our guest, you have our lounge area to relax in with its floor to ceiling windows to enjoy the view. Guests can enjoy other common areas and spaces of the Inn including the Coffee Shop, dining area with stove fire, books and board games, Reception & Retail Area, the grounds and outdoor garden terrace area which looks over Doolin Village and out to sea. Doolin Inn has a great team to look after you with a dedicated reception from 8am - 9pm. We live on-site and for after-hours emergencies, we are easily contactable. From traditional music and trail-walking to outdoor adventure sports and a cornucopia of culture – you’ve got it all right here in Doolin. Ours is a small West coast village with a mighty big heart – and from the moment you arrive and feel the fresh Atlantic breeze on your face, you’ll want to get out there and start discovering. Caving, cycling, surfing, hiking, horse-riding and so much more are all part of this special experience. We’re home to one of Ireland’s most famous signature points – the breath-taking Cliffs of Moher, The Burren and a gateway to the Aran Islands, for a taste of old and new to explore. Without a doubt, Doolin, Country Clare, is one of Ireland’s most natural, undiscovered playgrounds and jewel of the Wild Atlantic Way. Picture a postcard of olde worlde traditional Ireland and that’s Doolin – a quaint little village of brightly coloured cottages, pubs full of music and laughter, warm and friendly people and beautiful countryside as far as the eye can see. The main areas of Doolin are: the harbour (the departing points for boat trips to the Aran Islands and the Cliffs of Moher cruises); Fisher Street with the famous O’Connors Pub, great shopping and eateries, the start of the Cliffs of Moher Coastal Trail and Doolin Inn. The village then stretches inland to Roadford, offering more restaurants, pubs and shopping along the way. And there’s so much more to Doolin than crashing waves, rugged character and lyrical notes… Doolin is surrounded by world-class beauty attractions – the Cliffs of Moher, The Burren and Cliffs of Moher Geopark and the Aran Islands – so this is land made for taking in the great outdoors, adventuring beyond and really taking in the best that Ireland has to offer. Whether you’re a walker, a cyclist, a trail runner or simply someone who loves the fresh, open sea air and some breathtaking scenery – you’ll be in your element. The cliffs of Moher Coastal Trail, the Burren Way and local heritage walkways such as the Black Head Loop are just some of the key highlights of the area you won’t want to miss. Doolin Inn has off-street parking that is free to use for all guests during their stay. If you're using public transport during your stay, the nearest bus stop to us is outside Fitzpatrick's Bar in Doolin (about a 5 minute walk from Doolin Inn), serving the 350 Bus Eireann Bus service from Galway and Ennis arriving and departing throughout the day. Ferries to/from the Aran Islands are a 15 minute walk from the Inn. Shannon Airport is less than an hour's drive away. Doolin has a number of taxis and minibus services who do local runs and also airport pickups. If you contact us we will be glad to advise who is most suitable for your needs. We are a family run Inn and although always on hand if needed, our reception hours are 8am - 9pm. Check-in is from 3pm -9pm, although if the room is ready earlier you are more than welcome to check-in. Alternatively, we do have luggage storage. We love to welcome families, explorers and groups of friends. But we do not accept Stag, Hen or similar parties, unfortunately.
