Kookaburra Ridge Farm Stay. 5 minutes from town.

Kookaburra Ridge is a working farm . We grow chillies, parsley, garlic, capsicums, bok choi, radish as well as other vegetables. We also have 150 laying hens. Kangaroo Cottage was named because of the family of Kangaroos that live nearby. The cottage is nestled in a private, quiet location only 5 minutes from the town centre, It is situated on a 75 acre property that backs onto forestry. With a wood fire to keep you warm, and several wineries nearby, it's the perfect setting to relax. Both bedrooms have queen size beds with electric blankets for the cold winter nights. The kitchen is equiped with oven, hotplates, microwave, electric frypan, coffee machine. As well as the wood fire, a electric heater is provided. There is plenty of room for parking with a single car carport. Relax and enjoy. The morning birds singing, the night star filled sky. The warmth of the fireplace whist enjoying some of the local cheese and wines. Relax around the fire pit watching the local kangaroos that pass directly past the cottage. If you need to unwind and are looking for a peaceful place to take time out and relax, then Kangaroo Cottage has the vibe that you are looking for. And it's only 5 minutes from town. The breakfast pack we supply includes bacon, a dozen of our Kookaburra Ridge eggs, a Cob loaf of bread from a local bakery, a selection of cereals and a litre of milk. We also supply cooking oils, butter and a range of condiments. Also tea, and a coffee machine with 4 different coffees to choose from. Why not cook a steak over the outdoor fire. With ample seating and a table it's the perfect space to sit back after a day exploring, to enjoy a glass or 2 of the granite belts best wines.
