Perfect for a getaway to Athens, UGA, or Watkinsville, GA. This renovated 1938 in-town home is a short walk to a wooded park, restaurants, and shopping in historic downtown Watkinsville. Also only 7.5 miles to downtown Athens, Sanford Stadium, and UGA, this is a perfect spot for game day weekends. The private guest suite is the upstairs of our home with a convenient, secure, and private entry. The Air BnB is the second floor of our home with a private entrance. There are two bedrooms (or one bedroom and one common area) and one full bathroom. Perfect for a couple or family with 1-2 children. Bedroom 1 has a full bed. Bedroom 2 has a full-sized futon, as well as cable TV, mini fridge, coffee / tea bar, and a table for dining, work, or games. Foyer doors on the first floor, which would otherwise connect with the main home, remain bolted shut during your entire visit. As little or much as needed. We live in the house and are likely to be around during your stay. We're happy to help or to share tips for dining / entertainment in Watkinsville and Athens, but the private entrance also allows you to come and go as you please with little or no interaction if preferred. Located on one of the most charming streets in Watkinsville, our home is a short walk to restaurants, coffee, and shopping, and steps away from Watkinsville Woods, a small wooded park with walking trails.
