Chycara offers a range of self-catering lodges, as well as a wedding/event venue, set in 16 acres of picturesque gardens and woodland. This rural oasis is ideal if you want get away. It is close to Truro and the main line station from Paddington. Newquay airport is about a half hour drive away. Chycara is an ideal place for exploring the many famous gardens, beautiful coastline and other attractions. The Bissoe cycle path, linking both coasts is on our doorstop. Lake Lodge provides spacious family accommodation, set in a secluded spot by the side of a lake. It has three bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin, 1 single) and two bathrooms (one en-suite) There is a 2 night minimum stay, and a discounted rate is applied for stays of 3 days or longer. The lodge is fully equipped including a 43 inch smart TV (Streaming services accessible), Wi-fi, washing machine and dishwasher. All linen & towels are included in the rental. There is comfortable parking for 2 cars. “Chycara is a hidden gem in the heart of Cornwall. Guests staying with us are treated like old friends coming back to stay. The White family moved to Chycara in the 1990s to escape the chaos of city life. Seeking green spaces, trees and time & space to unwind. Chycara House delivered in abundance and the family fell in love the moment they laid eyes on it. Head groundskeeper Dave started work here merely days later and began sculpting the landscape in this 16-acre valley plot, into something extraordinary. He helped transform the grounds into useable lawn spaces, natural ponds and rugged flower beds. The central stream that runs through the garden splits the grounds into 2 halves and provides a distinct focal point for guests staying on site. When the family opened the doors to the guest house in 2009, they had one idea in mind for what the business should be. Chycara has always been a place for family and relaxation.
