It is for those who don't want to go to overly-commercialised and crowded hill stations, but are looking for quiet, rural places on offbeat routes on the Himalayas. The Falachan river flows nearby, and it is known for the rainbow trout, a highly prized freshwater fish. Tourists can fish in the Falachan river, but only after getting a fishing license. You can trek to the Chhoie waterfall, which takes about half a day. Sharchi, a village known for its breathtaking vista of snow-capped peaks, also makes for a good day trip destination. Places like Jibhi, Jalori Pass & Kothi are other notable places which can be explored in the area. When travelling from Delhi or Chandigarh, take a right turn before the tunnel at Aut Mandi, and head towards Banjar. The distance between Aut and Banjar is nearly 25 kms. From Banjar, take a bus or cab for Faryadi. The distance between Banjar and Faryadi is about 14 kms. Airtel, Jio and BSNL are the only phone networks which work in the area.
