"Sandwiched between the Apennine mountains and the sea, due east of Rome, tradition here is more than a way of life.” From an article about Italian holidays called Sea and ski in The Guardian. It describes the vibe in town and region in general, so look it up. The area boasts many picturesque villages and towns. Both mountains and beaches are close. Monte Amaro, Maiella (2.793 m) is seen from the house and Corno Grande, Gran Sasso (2.912 m) is seen from the town - both part of the Apennines. If you like skiing, there are many options! Two of the bedrooms do not have separate doors, but they still feel private as they are on different levels. Both in connection with the same staircase that has a common door. All beds are double (160x200 cm) with twin duvets (240x220 cm). The water heater is electric (not gas) and lasts for at least four quick showers in a row before it needs to reheat. The water supply is only public, and in case it cuts off in town for some reason, no extra water tank is installed in the house. When very dry during summertime the commune can sometimes limit the supply, but that happens mostly during nights. Wifi is not available, hence private mobile data must be used if connection is required. This also applies for the TV, since it needs internet to work (no channels are available otherwise). Casting from a phone is possible with Chromecast. Only air condition/heat pump in two of the bedrooms. Last bedroom has portable equipment; a fan for summer and a heater for winter. In addition there is a fireplace there, which also applies for the kitchen, but both are seldom in use. In the living room, on main level next to kitchen and bathroom, there is an efficient pellets oven used as the main heating source when cold and a portable fan if necessary for circulation when hot. The house has no radiators.
