Value & family oriented simple character bungalow with big rooms and comfy beds a block from the Old Gum Tree in Glenelg North, 20 mins walk to the beach & everything else in Glenelg with a fully enclosed yard. Awesome value for a whole family sized house to yourselves. Please note: WE ARE NOT A PARTY HOUSE Please contact us for scheduling enquiries. We are happy to work with you to make your plans work. Please read all details on the Guest Resources page & carefully read the house rules. We are not a high class apartment, but a nice old 1927 bungalow. We do not host parties as this is a residential neighbourhood and the neighbours must be considered with any noisy behaviour kept to a minimum and to a reasonable hour please. Please note that we change ALL of our linen (including doona covers ) after every stay to ensure the house is very clean for incoming guests. We are non-smoking, clean, comfortable, fit a pile of people in (we can sleep up to 8 people), and we hope, good value for money. We strive to make a holiday affordable, as we know how expensive holiday accommodation is. So to that end, we are a not for profit Air BnB. We cover our yearly costs, and the maintenance, and that's about it. Please inform us at the time of booking as to how many/and which beds you will need as we only make up what we have to. But please, please pick up after them! We don't need nasty surprises for the next guests. Please also respect the fact that this is not your house and keep pets off the beds, the couch and the windowsills. We do charge a small fee for your dog to allow the cleaner extra time to clean all of their hair up. it really does get everywhere and we appreciate your understanding. Please read the entire description, house manual, wi-fi details and all instructions upon booking. By booking you confirm that you have read the house rules and house manual, and agree to all points contained within them. This is a non-smoking, non-vaping, and drug free house. We have a NO tolerance policy, period. We have had so many issues with smokers we simply cannot allow smoking of any form on the property at all, this includes outside. Believe it or not we can smell it when we come to clean and it is hard to get rid of. Extra cleaning fees of $150 will apply if we come to clean and the place smells of cigarette smoke, ash or any other smoke for that matter as it takes forever to get the smell out. Reverse cycle air conditioning. Please abide by instructions of use. It isn't cheap to run and we are able to remotely review usage during your stay and reserve the right to charge for excessive usage. Apologies for the cleaning fees but extra costs apply after 4 people please due to the extra cleaning costs. The cleaner's time is not cheap. It's a time consuming exercise to fully clean a 3 bedroom house and change/wash ALL the linen, about 3 hours all up due to the COVID cleaning regimes This is what the cleaner charges us so we don't profit from it. Please understand we cannot reduce this cost, we wish we could. For long stay guests there are additional cleaning costs as we will have the place cleaned every 2 weeks during your stay to ensure you have the best stay possible. There is a large dining table available and we encourage you to eat around the table with family and friends and talk. We ask that you please refrain from eating dinner on the couch! We are in a pretty decent location - 15-20 mins walk to the beach and the tram and shopping strip of Jetty Road Glenelg. Bus is only around the corner, as is a nice park. The lawns are mowed on a Tuesday or Wednesday every fortnight, so please be aware that it may occur during your stay and make allowances etc. Every month we are trying to make more of the place so maintenance and improvements are ongoing. Please understand that the house is old and isn't perfect. We are making progress however, and the place is getting better all the time. Extra Services - Early check-in and late check-out are available at an extra cost subject to availability. Please request at the time of booking only as we cannot change the cleaners schedule on short notice, especially the day before and day of. - Cleaning services are available during your stay at additional cost, just let us know and we'll get it organised for you. The entire house is yours! Please let us know what beds you will need as we will only make up what you need to ease our cleaning duties! Full kitchen facilities - Dishwasher/Oven/Electric Cooktop/Fridge. Washing Machine in Laundry. We now have a coffee machine! But there are plenty of great coffee places around Glenelg and that is a great excuse to get out, find a local coffee shop (there are loads in Glenelg) and explore the local area. Remember that you are on holiday! Tea and long life milk provided but you might need fresh milk if you want it! Free wi-fi is available. Plenty of on-street parking available. This property is fully self contained and as such you should not need to even see us! We are only a phone call away though if something arises. We are not too far away. Glenelg North is a lovely part of Adelaide and close to all facilities. This is also a quiet neighbourhood and as such our neighbours are to be considered. Please keep any noise to a minimum and a reasonable hour! Ant please, no parties! There are loads of parks within easy reach of the house as well as the beach so get out and enjoy the local area! Tram and bus to the city are close, or easy drive to the city by car. The house is on the corner of Alison Street and Fisher Terrace. Please be aware that Alison Street is a one way street running from south to north.
