The Moscato Cottage

Enjoy the old world ambience of the fully restored 1850’s stone cottage perfect for the romantic getaway. The Moscato is a cosy cottage, with a lovely eco smart open fireplace. It is cool in summer and warm in winter. The private courtyard garden is a in rustic setting with some of the original household tools on display. Located in the heart of McLaren Vale, yet in a rural setting, a short ten minute walk to restaurants, wineries and shops. THe Moscato Cottage was built in the 1850s and is the original property of the Caffrey family who farmed the land. Whilst still retaining the ambience of yesteryear it has all the modern conveniences. The small cottage has a large and comfortable lounge room, bedroom with queen sized bed, a large en-suite bathroom and kitchenette. The kitchenette does not have an oven although you are able to bake outside on the Weber supplied. Guests have access to the whole self contained cottage and fenced garden area. Entry is through the private garden courtyard, and parking is adjacent to the entrance. You will be supplied the access code for the keys the day before arrival via text message. Our house is also on site but guests will only see us if requested. We have moved towards giving our guests a contactless stay due to the COVID pandemic. The cottage has its own entrance and fenced garden and is really private. We are only a phone call away if needed. The Moscato Cottage is on a rural block. It is a 10 minute easy to walk to Ogre Brew House, Carmels, Oscars, McLaren Vale Hotel and Vasarelli’s restaurants on the Main Street of McLaren Vale. My husband and I also operate a wine tour business called Wine Diva Tours if you require a wine tour whilst here. Parking for ONE vehicle is available directly opposite the Moscato sign. Checkin is 3 pm and check out is STRICTLY 11 am unless otherwise organised. We are happy to allow early checkin at no extra charge as long as the cleaner has finished.
